after getting murdered by amellia a bunch trying to grind cloaks without cheese (ive gotten 2) i think i know somewhat how gravity works and @StockSounds maybe you wanna know or add to this (iirc u do wiki stuff) unless its already been confirmed what it does
Whenever i got hit and didn’t block/parry/already in motion (excluding explosion) i would get sent to the other side of the attacks explosion. like if i got hit near the center of the attacks explosion i didn’t move much (which could explain explosion spell), but if i got hit at the outside of it i got sent to the other side of the explosion, which does make some sense for gravity.
stock and others opinions? just taking guesses from getting hit but this could be innaccurate (no clips since my medal takes to much space and doesn’t work, and i am not playing rn, i don’t want this to turn into the aether magic discussion)
Well, if it flings you toward the blast, then inertia says you’ll end up on the other side, not the middle, because you still have some more force going.
If you fell through the center of the earth without dying, you’d be flung to the other side, not dead stop in the center.
You say it flings you towards the other side, I’m explaining that it doesn’t actually do that, it just flings you towards the middle, which makes you fall to the other side.
no, it doesn’t move rubble at all, i saw her fire a blast in a room full of gold magic rubble and nothing happened, it’s definitely attraction if you get hit by the attack
So its collapsing gravity for a short time perhaps?, removing it for a seconf before flying you across? Maybe gravity will be wind magic but… Powerful! Have you seen Amelia land attacks outside? Do they send you to the epicenter?
i don’t know what you mean by removing gravity, but the attacks seem to just change your gravitational pull to be towards the attack instead of the ground
From experience, I’ve noticed that Amelia’s shockwaves have been sending me to the ground when my character was in the air, so this explanation would work out.
Also, how’d you manage to legitimately beat Amelia? Did you keep on parrying, or was it through sheer power alone?
Me personally, I got her to bug out in a corner, and I got just the right angle to Spirit Blast her to death without it being inexplicably blocked by god’s might.
basically equip guns and shoot her from across the hall and keep dashing past her/ hiding behind walls by stairs. if u see surge dash away and block or cancel it with grab
