Hey everyone, I’m Icy, or Icyboomerang if you know me by that. You might’ve noticed I’ve got a shiny new purple name now! I was kinda inspired by @Randomness’s tester announcement to make this post, but this one’s all about me and what I’m up to.
If you’ve seen me around the forums, you probably know I’m not the loudest person here. I tend to lurk more than I post, but I check in sometimes, keeping an eye on things. Recently, I got promoted to Game Mod through some private applications, and I wanted to take a sec to share what that’s all about.
I know moderation stuff can feel like it just happens out of nowhere, and I get why that might seem weird. But there’s a lot of discussion and thought that goes into these decisions, all with the goal of keeping Arcane Odyssey fun and fair for everyone. I can’t show you what goes on behind the scenes, but I promise there’s a process, even if it’s not super visible.
Not much about me is changing, though. I’m still just Icy, now with a purple tag and a bit more responsibility. If you’ve got questions or something’s on your mind, feel free to reach out. I’ll do my best to listen, even if I can’t always give you a full answer.
