throw it in the air when youre on a ship and someone is chasing you, the railing mess up the hitbox for when you throw it canon style so you need to aim upwards (mortar style) and pray it lands on the enemy
i tried once with light canonball, it dealt like 200 damage, but i burned through them faster than that the spawnkiller with 6 digits of bounty burned through my health when i was at sailors lodge at around lvl 54
