OHH YEAH!!!
The GOATED one note character! Let’s hope he’s back when Arwald fleet gets to shit,
It’s a good concept for sure but judging by how the nobility are, I don’t think they’d invite our hobo ass over for a feast ![]()
Like if you were Calvus or some other important figure in Ravenna and you heard about this random hobo that both saved Redwake and Frostmill in the span of around two weeks, wouldn’t that arouse suspicion as to what they’re capable of?
Honestly, I don’t think it’d be that bad
Elius and Carina know the player saved Frostmill and about the Order’s mission, but not about Iris melting the island or the player themselves
The player knows about Iris melting the island, but not about the Order’s mission or the nobles themselves
Iris knows about the nobles but is probably suspicious of them
Aren’t they the turncoat pirates?
The leader is not Arwald. No, unfortunately. It’s not like a Jaw Pirates tie in (which was great btw)
Can you elaborate more on that?
I think they’d do it as a publicity stunt, it’d be a good look for them
What people from another post said, something like the player following iris to Palo Town/going to Palo Town after frostmill as a filler would make sense, and give the player a intentive for actually following this random girl they had just beaten up. Like getting to know Iris better. Same for Morden, there should be fillers for him too because we know the same about Morden as a random quest npc. As well as during the awakening when we’re meditating we’d maybe reflect about our journey and what our purpose in this world truly is, which would make you bond more with the story and give players and actual interest (But I doubt this since I think it’s clear vetex doesn’t want the player character to have thoughts of themselves because it’s ‘‘immersion breaking’’ or whatever)
Maybe even get small glimpses/cutscene of other characters perspectives (Though I doubt it would happen either since it’s clear vetex doesn’t want it) like Morden fighting Julian
Imo though bosses should have a bit more logic behind them, like seeing Elius at cirrus before fighting him as it was just so random finding this literal random at Dijin ruins. Although it makes sense we didn’t see calvus or argos, but even jarl for example would make sense if we saw him at port mistral or anything really
Though I don’t see how it would make sense with the story if we were to go to shell after fort talos as we’re indirectly told to go to ravenna immediately unless they alter the story or something after fort talos, like we go to shell for that one week we’re told to wait for Morden as he gets the death curse
Yeah but realistically what kind of leader would hear about a hobo that somehow saved two towns in a short amount of time and think “Oh I should do this for a publicity stunt!“
That would be like a political leader taking a vacation in a shady neighborhood. When it comes to being a leader, sometimes you just watch out for yourself.
Here’s what I’m thinking:
Dawn Island: Morden’s a bit upset and promises he’ll seek us out later once he can calm down, and will leave a note on where he’ll be once he sets out.
Redwake: On mention of Dawn Island (after Shura), the player goes to check for a note, and figures out that Morden is at Palo Town. However, they must fulfill their last obligation to Redwake.
Frostmill Island: Mayor Owin expresses more surprise at our survival in the frozen peaks and more concern over his island. When we defeat Iris, we ask her to head down to the south end of the island while we talk to the mayor, and meet us there. She mentions wanting to go to The Stepstones and Cirrus Island before heading down.
Palo Town: Iris expresses regret about melting the island, but still holds resent towards Ravenna as you two set out to Palo Town to meet Morden. At Palo Town, you meet Ellius (Iris sneaks away), who presents himself cheerfully and thanks you for the aid to the Ravenna Realm. He gives you a “Frostmill Hero” armor set, which is leather with bronze plate on it. He proceeds to leave. After a day of rest in an inn, Iris and Morden show up, having met each other. Morden mentions that he recognized a purple symbol on the stern of Ellius’ ship as it was sailing away, toward the Stepstones. Iris urges us to head towards the Stepstones, but Morden reasons that we should prepare first, noting our armor compared to theirs. After completing a few quests (Morden and Iris are in various locations depending on progress) you head out to the Stepstones, with Morden wearing his Sailor’s Lodge outfit and Iris wearing a Red Merchant’s Jacket and Brown Wolf Boots.
Gonna continue this later
I think the story is structured about as well as it can be tbh, at the end of the day we want the game to succeed, and unfortunately its on roblox, meaning the majority of players have a low attention span and dont care about the story
alot of what you guys are asking is to make the story longer to give the characters longer to develop, but there are a bunch of issues with this. firstly, making the storyline even more dialog intensive than it already is would probably just end up boring most people, they want action, not talking
another issue is, the game is already gonna take another 5 years at least to finish, adding filler and just generally making chapters longer and more fleshed out would make the already ambitious story too much for one person. when its all out the story will probably take at least 30-40 hours from start to finish if youre actually trying to pay attention, and thats not including doing side activities inbetween. do we REALLY want it longer than that
