Hosting a tmod server

It’s been a while, and i’m BORED

cutting right to the chase, i’m hosting a Tmodloader server, if you guys remember me you guys know I slightly like terraria modded

I’m planning on hosting a server again, I’ve already done this several times now, so might aswell continue the tradition

For anyone wondering, We are currently in the proccess of polling for the mods being added and deciding the world. If you want to have some significance influence on the type of gameplay we will be having, I would suggest joining now

Feel free to join, even if you can’t get on much or can’t join at all I may host other playthroughs once I finish this one :+1:

I should also note the server starts around next friday/ saturday, and my timezone is EST. I’ll try to keep the server open from as early to as late as possible

what mods are you gonna use for the server?

As i said before, we are currently in the process of deciding, we are going with 50+ base mods (QoL, vanity, systems, etc.) and 2 Content mods (stuff like calamity, thorium, stars above, etc.)

This is the current list of content mods we are polling, if you have any suggestions i’ll add em to the list

and i was expecting a lot less wow (maybe cause i just play with a small number of mods)

seems interesting, might join later

Yeah it seems like a lot but a ton of the mods are things that people use in most gameplays by almost default (recipe browser, boss checklist, TownNPC checklist, etc.), so it shouldn’t cause too much issue or clutter

NOT USING ALLAT COMPUTER MEMORY :speaking_head::speaking_head::100::100::fire::fax:

We get it cryo you play on a Samsung SPH-I300 powered by 700 onions no need to tell us

I’m hesitant to vote on Calamity because it tends to overshadow other mods in power

Yeah calamity scaling is pretty fucked usually the items are eitehr WAY to underpowered or overpowered but atleast it has the longest longevity out of the other mods

Interestingly Stars above has compatability with the 3 most voted mods :skull:
Looks like it’s probably just gonna be Calamity and Fargos though

Stars above is one of my favorites so it sucks it probably wont be voted this time around, though the top two contenders (calamity & souls mod) actually just recently got DLC, so a playthrough should be intresting

cool but i happen to have a job now

:smiling_face_with_tear:

<I’M NOT USING 10 CHARACTERS KILL YOURSELF GRAHHHHHHHHHH>

I’ll try to join if I can:

  1. Figure out how I’m supposed to join the game (only multiplayer experience was on the Xbox)

  2. My laptop can actually run the game

terraria at it’s base can be run on pretty much anything. mods are another story though

Setting up tmod is extremely easy, especially after it’s steam release, as long as you have terraria on steam you can install it, running it, especially on A LAPTOP is a completely different can of worms, i’d say that the content mods might cause the most strain but who knows
