How do I become the best PVPer in all of AO?

I just 1v1’d Makunko and he easily killed me. I’m so jealous that he’s so good.

I also remember one moment where he was about to use crash at me, I dodged, yet despite him hitting me at my previous position (before dodge), I somehow got it. I think it’s some client position delay, but damn that’s fucking crazy.

  1. dont have a job
  2. sleep at 2 AM wake up 2 PM
  3. dont touch grass
  4. dont have a hobby
  5. wear “paused my game to be here” shirts
  6. be overly toxic
  7. idk
  8. Ok onto the actual ones
  9. play a skillful build
  10. practice with it in elys (may take some time to get used to about ~4 weeks to be affective at it?) (depends on the build)
  11. later play in Arcane League tournaments or tournaments overall
  12. G key

do NOT take showers

oh my god so you ARE in the forums

By becoming the best PvPer in all of AO

topic has been solved already with some good tips but it’s all about practice really. i’m not the best but i did get trained (n taught) by a LB player, so i get all my tips and experience from there.

  • blocking
  • learn to run / dodge / back away if things seem bad. no shame in it
  • also yeah, client sometimes plays against you. nothing to be done but pray and “how did they land that bro”
  • save ur stamina, you’ll take dmg if you over-do it
  • learn what your (stat) build can and can’t do. make up for the lacking parts with a better build / items / potions / gels / etc. exploit it
  • don’t be afraid to fail. literally best thing i can say. die lots, win lots, whatever. it’s how you get comfortable

first mistake was asking the forums most people here r buns

was it john leaderboard

(this is not me doing a bit chat it’s an inside joke)

it was, indeed john lb..

Oh hey, I’ve been following your advice since day 1! Good to know!

give it the good ol’ “slamming head against a wall” treatment and spend 2k hours pvping until you make yourself good

Also try out multiple builds, the one you’re currently using might not fit your playstyle the best.
That doesn’t mean pick the easiest class though, make sure that you have a future and the skill ceiling isn’t at your feet.

Or, use an easier class until you get the hang of generally switching slots, using various types of moves, etc.
A lot of skill carries over between classes, the only real difference is in how aggressive you can be, aiming, movement, size, range, you get the gist.

@Archenhailor don’t metamance please :folded_hands: it doesn’t make you any better

or… metamance?

just use warlord
