I mean the weapon ship attachments, if I try to use them on sharks, the sharks don’t ‘circle’ the boat, they just dip underwater and wait untill i go back in or attack the boat

If they dip you have to move. As for ship combat, maybe sniping some crewmates, although i didn’t really confirm if it does kill them. It can kill castaways thats for sure

the correct way to kill shark is to jump down and throw hands with them
lower them until theyre 1 hit away with your main weapons and then use the shark attachments to finish them off, full drops and its quicker than just spamming shark attachments
That’s the only way to kill the sharks because I don’t know how ship attachments work

Cannot say the same for whales though those guys deserve to die from swivel cannons
They deserve to die by a salvo of heavy grapeshot if only we can kill whales with cannons

ok to be real if you just want to kill them just use your skills you will always do more damage than the limited arc and weak damage of attachments just get on one to bait the fishys out and attack them as any other enemy
if you want the drops this is when you want to use the ship attachments, lead your shots and sometimes delay your shots because each time they are hit they turn the other way and go outside your arc of attack and also make sure to swap over to other cannons to give a better arc of fire
if you having a hard time lining your shots when they dive down or when they do anything underwater like when they lose aggro use a Revealing potion
