How do I hit Multi-Shot and Gun Draw: Rapid Fire?

I’m trying to do a Crystal Magic gunslinger playthrough, but I can never hit any of my skills besides Piercing Shot and Onslaught.

Multi-Shot and Rapid Fire have amazing damage but I can never seem to find the right strategy for aiming them. Rapid Fire would probably work when the opponent uses a high-endlag attack, or if I get a higher Attack Speed stat, but Multi-Shot is a total mystery to me. I aim it directly at the opponent, it misses. I aim it slightly below so they fall into it, still misses. I try it at different ranges, still misses.

Buffs are planned + crystal imbue makes your attacks slower just unimbue your dual flintlocks

Hi, I main an all-guns loadout, and have dropped over 1.5k kill with guns. Perhaps I can be of some assistance.

As @bangers said, you should most certainly unimbue your dual flintlocks, or consider switching to a faster magic. Overall, landing both flintlock’s abilities come down to understanding how the abilities themselves work, as well as your ability to read and predict your targets movement.

I’ll begin with the dual flintlocks. Firstly, know that Rapid Fire doesn’t shoot six individual bullets; rather, that it shoots three groups of two, as pictured below. After having unimbued your flintlocks, you can either play on endlag, or predict with three groups of two in mind.

As for multi-shot, you may either play on endlag, or predict your opponent’s movement. With prediction, you should know one thing: unlike piercing shot, which has a very, very slight delay before raycasting after releasing the key (allowing for correction, greater flicking opportunity, etc), multi-shot always casts wherever your mouse is upon releasing the key. Due to this, your reads must be ever so slightly better.

Prediction comes over time, so there’s not a whole lot I can say on it . Maybe this will help :smiley_cat:
