How do I pronounce vetex

I’ve been saying vet-ex all this time but I keep hearing people say vee-tex and I don’t know which is right.

I pronounce it “vet-ex” I think I remember hearing tech pronounce it “vee-tex” though
Of course there are still some people who pronounce it “vertex”

I pronounce it as Ve-teks these days.

For whatever reason, in the past, I used to put an R in Vetex. Came out of me as Ver-teks.
I… have no idea why I put an R in there. I really don’t.

Vee-teks is the proper way based on how vetex voted for it, but veh-teks is still superior and I will not be convinced otherwise
