So I was checking the trello features and one of them was hunger and saturation and when it was 0 it would very slowly shrink health and you would have to eat. How do you feel about this future update I personally like it as long as your hunger wouldn’t go down that quick same with health.
Don’t really mind. I can imagine myself just stocking up on food and never having to worry about it.
Well he did say that it will go down very slow and to not complain about it before it’s even added so I wont mind it if that statement is true. Also aren’t we going to have a saturation bar before we even start to get hungry…
It honestly just exascerbates the issue of the game starting off really hard and getting easier as you progress, a backwards difficulty curve.
Food prices get more, not less manageable as you level up. Not to mention it slaps on another mechanic despite things like chests and clash rates not being explained in game

If food simply gave the player buffs and the hunger bar was a mechanic used to limit them, this feature would be perfectly acceptable.
All it would do in it’s suggested form is drain players of cash and force them to stop and eat on the occasion.
What does this add to the game? To the whole being a wizard thing?
Tbh now that I think about it this mechanic seems to only exist to justify the existence of taverns/saloons in towns, which is pretty silly.
I don’t mind hunger, but when you join a guild war and you have to make a pit stop to get food, thats just bro
I think it’s there to give the game another mechanic and to also allow the addition of food items giving buffs
But what’s the point of this mechanic?
Like, people are only going to cook one meta food and eat exclusively that and that’s the whole mechanic.

It’s funny though because we’re not going to be allowed to do things like change professions, change magics, change which magic we god/demon/dragon, or respec our magic and strength points even when we reach the level cap all because vetex doesn’t want people to chase meta and all have the same build(s)
Yet, this mechanic is going to be extremely easy to meta chase.
Like, pretty much the strongest overall buff food or strongest power up food is going to be all that people want to cook and eat once they get out of early game.
I know a lot of people hate this upcoming feature but I think this is because they don’t want WoM to become a survival game. I think it will be cool though because it actually won’t make WoM a survival game, it will just make it more fun and realistic. It will make it so you can’t just stay out in the wilderness FOREVER. He said it will go down slowly anyway, so I think it will be absolutely fine. It is just going to add more variety to the game.
I think the more meta foods will just have ingredients that are harder to find, like a fruit that only spawns in little quantity in one specific area and takes a while to respawn. Not only that, but making food may or may not follow a system where you start out with a few basic dishes and as you keep cooking food you can create more elaborate dishes.
Well it will just be tiers of meta at that point.
Can’t afford the most meta food? Get the most meta cheap food.
If a food boosts the power stat it’s going to be meta for those who can afford it reliably.
True, maybe vetex will add some nerfs to the hunger system that would fix the problem of people just eating meta foods.
i dont think anybody will really be bothered by this feature tbh

I really want to eat a burger in WoM
if this is added im gonna stop playing the game. it takes away from the freedom and fun. food should grant temporary buffs, it shouldn’t be a restrictive measure.
