How do you make particles in Roblox Studio?

So I know how to use particle emitters and change particles, but how do you make particles from scratch? Do you need blender or is studio fine?

I honestly have no idea, only particles I know how to work with are particle emitter ones

I haven’t used Roblox Studios in like 4 years but I remember finding an image of a lightning bolt on google images, making it a Roblox decal, then using it for a particle in Roblox Studio. You definitely don’t need blender for particles (unless you want them to be 3d and geometrically complex).

particles can be as simple as random pictures

Only way I remember is making a decal of something you want (stock photo, self made, etc) and insert the particle there.

Just use your general art program :/

Then follow the other people’s steps.
If you want 3D particles, maybe blender or something combined with animation
