to my knowledge, when you sink a ship, sealed chests will spawn
i sunk like 5 already ( at least 2 of them was fortified ) and none of them had sealed chests, just random one like food crates and sailor chests
am i doing it wrong or something?
maybe it depends on the size of the ship? did you kill the sailors/captain too after you sink it?
sinking a ship correctly involves you killing it with your ships cannons and then eliminating all the crew that was on it to get the full rewards

you have to use your cannons to deplete the ship’s health
i killed all of them

You need to sink the ship using ship-based damage. As sock said, cannons are the main thing to use, but you can also use the ram and cannons.

btw does having a crew allows you to aim while driving ?
else it’ awfullt hard to use the cannons unless you’re playing with someone
and i dont think you can get a ram by buying one
it’s easier if you lower your camera a bit
yea if you have a crew they use the cannons for you
