How does Enchantment work into the magic system?

Alchemists are seen using blank magic circles around items they are enchanting. What does this mean? Is Alchemy a magic type your mind can awaken as? Are they using magic circles without it counting as magic, since Enizor didn’t consider himself a magic user until after he got snow?

alchemy is magic that anyone can use even if they haven’t awakened their first mind, to be considered a magic user like enizor now, you need a mind magic, not just magic energy

I’ve been confused about this for the longest time, too. I hope it gets elaborated on in-game.

in professions update

Think of it like warrior/beserker awakening (that’s how I view it)

everyone can control magic
but not everyone has magic
(i think)

Its Aura, and its different. (Magic = Magic Energy = Energy = Aura ; yes, ‘magic’ has 2 meanings in AO, cry to vetex)

As far as i understand, there are Aligned Magic Circles (with magic in them) and Unaligned (Without symbol in it, and usualy blue).
Unaligned is used to enchant, and probably you need to have opened mind to use it. Remember Enizor, he had an opened mind, but he could’nt use magic that well. But then we brought him into dark sea and he had jumpscare moment.

everyone and (probably) everything has magic energy in them, as it is life force, but not magic which is tied to the minds

some people learn how to manipulate that energy and do (what i assume to be) some form of basic primordial magic that increase certain aspect(s) of objects (can take decades to learn or even a life time, but makes lots of money)

according to Tech, some materials like obsidian, diamonds ( and probably gems in general, which is why jewelcrafting is a thing ) is better for enchanting for… reasons ( i dont remember, sorry )

looking our enchanter deckhand, im guessing temporary and weak enchants are not too hard to learn since they manage to do it in probbably a month or two (maybe even less, who know), lore wise

Thanks vetex, for making this system very confusing at times
