How does jewelcrafting work?

can anyone explain how it works cuz im slow and dont understand

And new potions

You get a gem and put it in a crafting station with 5 reagents to create a jewel.

The gem determines the normal stats you get like defence, power, agility, etc while the reagents determine the secondary effect like air capacity, blocking power, swim speed, etc.

Tier 1 reagents give a 1-5% boost to secondary effect (3% more blocking power) while tier 2 give 6-10% more (10% more climbing speed).

Your jewelcrafting level determines the quality of the jewel which gives extra primary stat for example: crude diamond jewel gives 6 defence while a perfect jewel give 60 defence (not actual values). Jewelcrafting level increases when you make more jewels and you can upgrade jewels so you aren’t stuck with bad ones, you could turn a crude jewel into a fair one

Approach a jewelcrafting table while holding a gem, similar to holding an ingredient when cooking. Press E to add the gem, then select a reagent from your inventory and press E to add five of those, then craft the Gem. After this you can slot the crafted gem into any armor in your inventory (if you’re wearing the armor you want to slot the gem into you’ll have to take that armor piece off first).

Reagents determine the effect of the potion (water breathing, poison, interchange, etc.) while catalysts determine how it functions (do you drink it? throw it? create an aoe cloud? etc).

There are tier 1 and tier 2 reagents, you need different values of those for different tiers of potion (see trello). There are 5 tiers of potion, which increase potency, potency either effects how long it lasts or how powerful it is (love potion lasts longer when thrown and harming potion does more damage when thrown).

You need 2 catalysts to create a potion.

There’s also a brewing skill which I think increases potency I don’t remember

Anyone know where the Jewel crafting station is at in Ravenna or any other locations for that matter?

There’s one in some ruined building right next to Cirrus, and there’s one in one of the ruins at Blasted. That’s all I know of so gl findih easier ones

from what i heard, you cant get the ingredients back after placing them like how cooking and brewing work, so dont waste q gem if you dont have rhe reagents (it says in the description if it can be used for jewels

The exception to this is standard seaweed.
It doesn’t say it, from what I’ve seen, but it can be used.
