i use canon fist and I have just unlocked the rushdown technique, except the thing is, it doesnt seem to be working
obviously it doesnt work on bosses, but it also doesnt work on npc’s, my player character just ‘dashes’ through them and only deals damage on initial hit, the rest of the ‘combo’ and the final hit is completely ignored
yea, rushdown has always been quite a buggy move, I think it’s because the move makes a small hitbox in front of you that dictates whether or not you land the attack, and that’s why sometimes if you’re too close it ends up not working, that’s my theory at least, don’t take it for fact.
I’d love to see the hitbox data for certain attacks ngl
it’s supposed to just deal damage on bosses, but if I had to guess, vetex probably screwed up that code and made it work on everything, that or it’s just the bug where npcs break out of multihits
no not that, it’s just that grabs would kind of be a bit too unfair against bosses, since most of them just stand still and use attacks that you could probably break with it
This happens when you “land” a grab on someone with grab immunity. The grab immune state is dictated by a grey health bar, bosses have this state on always.
Also grabs are still bugged in both PvE and PvP. If you land a grab on someone exiting endlag or starting an attack, even if the initial animations played out, both you and them will be forced to exit the grab.
The health bar itself turns grey for both parties (above their heads) after a grab, indicating temporary immunity to grabs. This causes you to take direct damage from a grab instead of getting grabbed over and over.
