How does water poisoning's "seek shelter" thingy work

I died while stood under the “mimhere island” tower ruin, it wouldn’t go away
Was that removed? Is it broken?
I guess no dark sea runs without a brig anymore, or I exclusively sit in insanity 0

that’s bec mimhere island isn’t real, the tower is a mirage

I believe water poisoning is only applied if you have the soaked effect, so standing under something only works if you can see the soaked status effect disappear.

I can back up the statment that water poisoning only occurs if ya get soaked… Played the insanity range loike a hydrophobe! never got poisoned

Take a bath everytime you dare step in the water, avoid the sea as much as possible…

well usually when i get water poisoning and im on a big island and i cant get to my boat i just stand under some ruined buildings and it goes away after like 5 seconds

I did that and it didn’t go away, that’s the point of the thread
Bought a brig so I wouldn’t have to deal with that anymore

i think the problem was that ur shelter was rendering the rain through the roof or some

you gotta take shelter under ‘legit’ ledges
your brig doesnt count
a tower’s ceiling doesnt count
you have to go under a rocky ledge to get rid of it
