How is a clan war?

Well with Empires Update,clan wars must get better right?

I really like to said that but I don’t are in a clan XD

Then,can you tell me about your owm experiences? If you have experience you can tell me about a friend that are in clan wars

ima be real
empires update changed almost nothing about clan wars
90% of them still start from ganks on sameria or a wild goose chase across the bronze sea

trying to claim an island from a wealthy clan is also so mind numbing and so defender favoured that it almost never happens anyway

it doesn’t help that culverin and mortar stacking can shred any ship faster than you can blink
i once passed a little too close to whispering when it had a whole fortress on it, 10k ship health gone almost instantly

clan wars are laggy. usually someones using a war build that lets them throw out big attacks with high dmg.

empires update didnt do alot for it i feel. it just made capturing islands a bit harder is all cause of siege weapons and walls.

i think you’d probably be able to breach using warship or enhanced howitzers as you’d get insane range on them to the point where the island defenses can’t fire back at you. Yet i still agree cause it takes longer and it gives the other clan more time to react.

Empires update felt pretty oriented towards wealthy clans which sucked in someways but i guess its incentive to try and grow ur clan.

kind of unrelated:
I had this problem in the AUS region where it got super hard to find players who
A. wanted to join my clan
B. I knew were/would be active
C. engaged in pvp or found it enjoyable enough to want to get better at it.

because well, AUS community for the game is pretty small in comparison to other regions.

So i ended up inviting people who were mostly new to the game, mostly did pve and had no real way of knowing if they’d stay or not. I was essentially investing in a bunch of people by helping them out because well, you have to give them some incentive to want to stay around.

Clan wars are ever WORSE now, it’s still the same ash mage/ aoe spam that is inherent to teamfights but now the bases are unraidable the second they afk farmed a bit

Any of ya’ll remember the great clan war pre-ds where a bunch of big clans competed for points by killing eachother? That was peak ngl
