This is exclusiving using curses or blessing to do so like the adsorption blessing
Im not 100% sure on this but wouldn’t it be 4? Since you get another magic each awakening (+ the magic you start off with). someone correct me if I’m wrong though
im think the absorption curse makes it so you can take other people magic
idrk
They said absorption blessing not included but if we did include absorption curse i’d assume there’s not really a limit besides how many magics exist.
With the current lore, theoretically infinite, but each one becomes exponentially harder to learn soo…
Generally three is the limit.
OH
i thought they meant with it
oops
in lore people only go through an awakening twice, so that would be 3
ohhh ok thanks for correcting me
this guy is correct. there is no hard-limit besides your potential
ingame there’s a max of 3 because the level cap is 600, in lore there is no “level cap” so you could thereotically do infinite “level ups”
ingame, second magic takes much higher requirements than first magic, and third magic will likely take much much more, this is the in-game way to mirror practicing with said magics, so yes you could learn every magic there is but doing so would likely be the equivalent of having tens of thousands of levels ingame (which is almost impossible unless you were immortal, and since the only things that we know make you immortal, those being sea curses, prevent you from using magic, theres basically no way apart from outside help like the absorption blessing or getting lucky to revive a lot with lazarus blessing)
Old info that is almost certainly outdated and false as the twitter posts that went over Dragons before they came out did specify Dragonlords n such should be fought at level 600**+**, the reason we’re only going to get upwards of three magics is because four would just be too much.
Well curse users can, it’s just that it’s redundant due to their curse and also the fact that it’s extremely difficult to use said magic to the point where the curse user just uses their curse because it’s easier and less painful
even if you use magic thats exactly the same as your curse, its said to drain a lot of energy and hurt immensely, even more so if its a magic that is very different from your curse
so yes, it doesnt prevent you from using it, but no curse user actually uses magic
good to know that its been changed twice now, likely back to being level 1000 i would assume
when AO first came out, it was going to be level 1000 (as seen in many formulas with things like ship tiers), but then in the period between full release and the previous update it was said to be down to 600, but if what youre saying is true then its probably 1000 again
I’d imagine it’s at minimum 750, as that would support 125 levels per sea which is a pattern that’s already been started (Bronze ended at 125, Nimbus has been said to end at 250)
so the possible range in my eyes is 750 - 1000.
750 would be possible, max stats being 1500, however they’ve still yet to change the formulas for ship tiers afaik (the nimbus sea parts should technically be fortified-tier rather than still only reinforced)
Right, because they’d have no reason to.
no reason to and many reasons not to
i think you’re talking about this, and no there’s no + in the post
the max level is 600 and hasn’t been stated otherwise… the levels present in the post is the level range of each dragon tier
young dragons can’t go past 240, adolescent dragons can’t go past 360 etc…
ancients for some reason can go below 600 but that’s about it
we’d destroy current dragons at level 480 and 600, the twitter post is just worded weirdly
you can learn an infinite amount of magics, but going past 3 is extremely difficult so that’s why (and for gameplay reasons) players can’t go past 3. I don’t think there’s any mentions anywhere of a being that has gone past 3 in lore too as even theos couldn’t learn more than 3 magics
There’s also no reason to continue believing this to be set in stone considering the last time that was said was what… over two years ago now?
at least it HAS been said, am i right? speculating based solely on the fact it has been two years ever since it was said is a bit stupid imo
