How many status effects can you have at once?

haven’t done any looking at all so sorry if it’s extremely obvious but curious [title]. obviously you can’t have absolutely every effect at once, since potions limit to 2 beneficial effects, but think of one of every magic hitting someone? has it been tried before?

We don’t have a server size big enough to test that theory-

well, there are some limits due to reactions and status clearing… but the best option is probably heat magics, as none of them clear eachother (aside from Charred).

By default, that means:

Burning
Scorched
Petrified
Melting
Scalded
Seared

all of these statuses will heat the player and cause them to sweat.

Next we can add paralyzed, as it interacts with nothing, this can be added with a strong lightning gel, which will also prevent any statuses being removed.

Then theres Poisoned, Drained, Blinded, and Crystalized.

now we skipped signed despite this being decently possible with iris for a reason:

Water Poisoning and Infected from Makrinaos.

Don’t forget slowness gels.

We can also add insanity from the user.

this totals 16 statuses; you can also add the Custom-magics, but 16 is the probable max ingame; unless potions don’t clear eachother (burning pot + snowy pot doesnt clear eachother).

In total:

Burning; Scorched; Melting; Seared; Scalded; Sweating; Paralyzed; Petrified; Slowed; Insanity; Water Poisoning; Infected; Poisoned; Drained; Blinded; and Crystalized.


The easiest way to apply all of these would be:

a group of 7, meaning this should be possible right now.

you’ll need a separate user (because of Paralyzed and Petrified duration) running some variation of the following:

Fire + Plasma Gel (burn scorch)
Crystal + Lightning Gel (crystalized paralyzed)
Shadow + Blinding Gel (drained blinded)
Magma + Charred Gel (becomes Petrified)
Thermo + slowness Gel (seared + slowed)
seperate heat user who’ll become steam (steamed)

This will need to be timed quite perfectly, as even a full affliction build will only boost petrified/paralyze up to 1.7 seconds; scorched will also die out in 5 seconds. You’ll probably want everybody to time self explosion/slam, as to avoid clashing.

And your Victim, who should be wearing insanity gear and drink a Poison potion; they’ll then walk into the dirty Makrinaos water before drying off and then being blasted. which will cause sweating. Preferably, the victim should use a heat magic as to pre-warm themselves, and dry off the wetness from the dirty water.
