I don’t know if its said anywhere but I figured the easiest way to find out is to just ask. I know its like 3 or 4 generations of kings old but I honestly don’t know how long that is cause life spans are a lot more varied in AO than irl.
calvus isnt very old and his father died decently young for a magic ( curse? ) user, so guessing 100-150
Nero is Calvus’ grandfather, who dont know who killed him and when but lets say he died at around 200-300 at most
that would make Ravenna around 300-450 years old
wait is there any date in general zaix’s journal? he mentioned Calvus’father in that iirc, so we can use that to make some rough estimate of how long he lived
or maybe Rackham’s, Cal’s father was alive around that time too i think? …or maybe its was Cal, idrr

assuming calvus 20-30 years old, calvus’s father probably reigned through atleast all of Argos adult life life. This means he reigned around about 50 years as Argos was a 70? or so years of age when he died Assuming Nero was a 200-300, this would put it around 300-400 on the minimum
Thats what seems to be the case too, Calvus mentions some stuff about how the kingdoms will be no better than how they were 500 years ago so presumably Ravenna is unlikely to be any older than 500 at most.

I would say a good 1000 years as they needed time to form as well as make a name for themselves, then agree to the navies terms. that would take some time and with the guesses of like 450 its got to be like 1000, nation building takes time
now that I think about it at most, ravenna is at MOST 300-400 years old, it cant be 1000 since durza blew up the world 800 years ago, and the first sea curse was discovered around 300 years ago, and unless nero was a mage/curse user who survived the big boom and formed up a kingdom from the remains of the one that used to be on ravenna, I doubt it. additionally, winterviel is older than ravenna, and was established already, so it was probably 1-2 centuries older than ravenna so winterviel wouldve had also had to be formed before the big boom.

1500 - sea-clusters are formed
So, we know that Winterville was main kingdom in Bronze Sea (Probably was named smth like Snow/Cold Sea) before Nero did the Chara-thingy.
We have time between 1500 and 1854, so ~354Y, looking at how there little to no traces left of Winterville, i’d say that Ravenna is OLDER than Winterville.
So, i think its as following:
- 1500-1600: Winterville was formed and existed as only kingdom in the sea
- ~1620: Nero did the cannon even “Winterveil Extermination”
- 1650-1854: Ravenna renamed Snow/Cold sea into Bronze Sea
And dont forget that Ravenna had like, 3 rulers - Nero, Octavius and Clavus. Nero did the main thing, Calvus is fairly new(?), and we have noone talking about Octavious
So
Winterville is ~100 years old
Ravenna is ~200 years old
iirc, the guy in the eternal mines states that 1. most of Winterviel was sunk under the sea, and what was left above was turned to Askurius Keep, 2. Munera Garden WAS part of Winterviel before its abandonment, and 3. Ravenna (as it is now) is YOUNGER than Winterviel, but traces of civilization where it is goes back longer.
this, doesnt make much sense. if Winterviel was younger, then how the FUCK would it be the only kingdom in the sea, since Ravenna would exist alongside it.
Additionally, even if Ravenna was older, the main export of the sea was bronze which is why its called the bronze sea
Assuming the Whispering Caverns were bronze mines through both Winterviel and Ravenna’s reign over the sea, they would still produce a lot of bronze + if Ravenna is older then it would be more set up and producing bronze from Ravenna and if it was younger, than it might’ve been exporting bronze or just using it in their gear a lot too.
we all know what Nero did, Calvus took the throne, round 10-20 years ago probably (assuming hes around 20-30), and Octavious got killed at the battle of Cassia Town / Blasted Rock
