What the heck, I haven’t gotten on the game since 2024. Why are there dragons now?
On a more serious note I have been playing an Ash/Fire mage and I have just discovered Intensity is not a thing anymore.
So like, what stat should I even go for now? I used to be Power and Intensity but now I can’t even find in the wiki what gear stats manages the size of the clouds.
Is is even a good combination still or like, have mages been nerfed again?
Ash fire is still decent, but the meta has shifted a bit to make it less dominant. Try going for a dex or size build (size would probably scale better) with around 150 power or more. As far as gem stats go, you have two options: use block power or use energy regen. If you really want to, and your feeling evil, use aeroplasts for maximum cancer blasts.
Ash is a pretty meh magic imo, mainly because stuns right now are stuck in a pretty bad spot. 50% slow for 1 second (or half, if imbued, but you’re mage so) where the opponent can block, mash attacks, or use a fast grab to run away from you. This then has a 10 second cooldown
With that being said, with a bit of range, you can probably still play a decent turret playstyle, since ash isn’t god awfully slow. A single second of stun, if you’re ready for it, is also enough to get a quick beam in, or maybe even a javelin if you feel brave
I’m personally planning on running a weapons hybrid with ash that plays around petrify with burn grease since petrify on second hit seems like a potentially sweet deal. I’ll see how that plays out
Energy eff is pretty ass right now. Passive energy regeneration is fast without you having to flaunt nowadays so the utility of energy eff has been largely reduced.
My recommendation would either be status duration to make burning last longer or potency boost to make auras stronger.
It’s not that it got directly nerfed, it’s that after full release you don’t need to flaunt to regen energy quickly anymore. Unless you are mashing/turreting really hard, the energy efficiency won’t make a difference in most interactions
Thanks, although I think it’s pretty good on the PvE side, which is what I enjoy most, but either way petrifying and then immediately just hitting and unmoving target does sound sweet.
