Its just a rough guess of mine based on how vetex currently said updates will be made, it could take more, could take less
Mage Nerf Update Idea:
Remove 10% damage(already planned)
Either remove or nerf pulsar to this:
Pulse damage only deals 25%~ of the damage of a regular blast. If the pulsar DIRECT hits itāll deal 20% more damage than a regular blast. The AOE of a pulsar will be greatly reduced, and it will have a set āconeā AOE. The farther the enemy is, the smaller the AOE.
Pulsar will deal less damage each pulse(?)
Honestly ultimate artās are fine imo, idc what anyone else says.
Mage was supposed to be an aim based classā¦
Although 5x ultimate arts should get nerfed. Maybe the slower the magic is the less speed itāll have to proc the damage?
It should be punishable, but not in a way that you have literally no HP left to punish with
- Nerf pulsar aoe (75% max) or remove it or make the aoe do chip damage (around 30-40 damage) while hitting the pulsar does slightly more than blast?
- Make minimum tick 1 and max tick 2
- Remove 10% dmg buff
- Donāt nerf snare
- Remove placed explosion/make placed explosion have a semi-long startup time
(Also nerf weapon aoe while your at it, some of them have an aoe thatās pulsar size or larger)
Mostly do a global aoe nerf for all classes or remove the magic size stat from equipment
Ultimate arts are more of a disappointment because in the previous game they interacted with the enviroment
gonna admit some weapons DO have way too much AOE(looking at dual swords and katana, specifically their TP dash skills)
But then others have HUGE AOE because theyāre extremely simple to punish(greataxe devastating slam)
Iām probably gonna cry when they finally nerfed Triasta(that thing is just free damage at this point)
That AoE is getting buffed lol, its range is increasing but horizontal range is decreased (wasnāt really all that helpful anyway if you could aim)

pulsar should have 2 separate damage scalingās.
The inner circle:
- deals more damage than the outer circle and will do more damage on impact.
the outer circle:
- deals 40% of the inner circles damage and cannot do extra damage on impact (if the pulsar explodes and the player gets hit by the outer circle the damage will remain the same)
overall nerf:
- reduce the aoe by 50%
- minimum tick speed changed to 0.5 (keep the same maximum)
- give a pulsar size slider where larger pulsars move slower (the maximum size will be the new nerfed size)
- overall reduce pulsar speed so that players have to reduce the size of it or invest in attack speed to compensate therefore lowering damage
- increase cooldown by 2 seconds
- if a player used pulsar more than 3 times in a fight ban them
- turn all pulsar scrolls in inventory into rusty cans
- delete pulsar
Nerfing pulsar would be like deleting mage, since its nerf will make them just a food for warriors.
Blasts and beams useless since warriors just dissipate it.
Im not just complainning about how nerfing mage will kill it. I want you to explain to me how to fight with tempest spammers who canāt be hitted with blasts and beams? Like⦠mages will become a metal explosion spammers?
Me when the warrior is chucking out moves from his protective cage which I cannot penetrate
Why not have it be a projectile that does nothing then when it hits a surface it pulses out. So it would be an area denial tool that is locked in place
Maybe just delete mage? (A rhetorical question) Since its will lose any possibilities in fighting with weaponās based classes.
Beta weapons user opinion:
my guy mage can most definitely exist without pulsar
tempest is getting nerfed in v1.12 and you can easily easily punish tempest with explosions (does much more damage btw)
Then everything is okay, expect the fact that I donāt have space for placed explosion on my first magic, while second magic AOE and damage is ehā¦
Well, 1.12 is a time to change all buildā¦

You do know that both pulsar and explosion are getting heavily nerfed right?
Just because you cant use something thats way too strong against a class that counters it, doesnāt mean its weak, warrior is getting nerfed too
