Warrenās dialogue is a little wonky here since canon awakenings arenāt exactly the same as what he states here, but at the very least the mc did not learn to use aura until after awakening.
Iām sorta perplexed here, isnāt the entire reason we even can use weapon skills is because we already imbue aura onto our weapons?

when is soon Iāve been hearing this for months and months.
IIRC non magic classes use aura after first awakening which allows them to hurt curse users in their curse state (ex: julien in his glass form) not their normal state.
as for for iron leg, boxing, thermo fist, and sailor style, Iron leg is likely just the buildup of endurance in one leg after kicking a lot and is only seen as iron to us because we had magic.
Thermo fist could be the same as we punch really fast and our hits feel as if they burn but donāt until you actually burn them until you can grasp aura.
Boxing has no visual but you get more knockback with aura i guess.
Sailors style is the only hard one to argue as either way it would hit curse users since you pretty much drink sea water which is magic polluted which could like make your skin moist with the sea water or just splash some sea water, which kills curse users, on your fists. so uhh either way sailors works whether its aura or not
You get even angrier and more punch-y, and suddenly you can hit magic people.
About the Seven Seas magic system, Ive heard of Vetexās desire to make the Seven Seas have the same magic system as the War Seas insteadā¦
