How tf does the Berserker awakening work in lore?

In game the berserker awakening give you the ability to learn another fighting style, but how does it work in lore. Because if the lore version also makes you able to learn another way to punch the shit out of mages, that’s straight up the most braindead and stupid thing I’ve ever heard.
However, if it’s not that could it be something like breaking your physical limits, making you able to be more buff?

it makes beserkers able to use aura which allows them to hurt curse users

Technically, their awakening just makes them flat out stronger as per every other awakening. The whole “2nd fighting style” is just a gameplay thing

why can’t we have magic reset? wouldn’t that also be “just a gameplay thing”? why is vetex so inconsistent with the logic of the arcane world? i’m so confused all the time and i don’t even know what to believe anymore

peak, i want to change my magic variant, that’s literally all i want

That’s the warriors awakening

AND berserker’s too

Every class that isn’t magic-adjacent gets aura

Dam, that’s really boring

Weapons and fighting styles definitely use aura before awakening, too. Iron Leg, Thermo Fist, Sailor Style, none of these are explainable unless they use magic energy. Not to mention, even before the awakening, weapon skills and strength techniques use energy, not stamina. It would be stupid if magic could hurt curse users but weapons and fighting styles couldn’t, despite them all being sourced from the same type of energy.

I think all the Warrior awakening does is intensify and optimize the energy that you’ve already been imbuing into your weapons. If attacks like Primal Slash and Sword Draw: Mountain Wind don’t use magic energy, that completely breaks my immersion.

Uhhh i’m pretty sure that vetex himself said that before awakening only mages can kill curse users. And i’m absolutely sure you couldn’t hit trigno with melee attacks in AA

Tho that pretty lame as a concept.

People in the Seven Seas just don’t imbue their physical attacks with magic energy, for some reason. (It’s kinda stupid because aura is said to be a subconscious thing, so why wouldn’t it be consistent across all of the human race?)

Yeah I think I remember him saying that too, but it seems like it was retconned. And regardless, I prefer using what’s in the game itself instead of off-site statements from the creator (which tend to have inconsistencies and retcons anyway), so in my mind I’ll always believe aura is a pre-awakening thing. Nothing in the game contradicts this and everything in the game supports this.

Which is funny since I’m pretty certain bows worked on him

Vertex logic, don’t try to understand.

magic fist:

it makes u smarter bec berserker mains just wanna punch stuff

That seems to work very differently from the imbuement used in the War Seas.
Magic Fist requires you to constantly have magic circles on the back of your hands. Imbuement in the War Seas just has you briefly form a circle on your back and then you’ve got the imbuement for as long as you want.
