How to avoid my data being deleted again?

I recently lost my 13k inventory and loadout, but my weapons saved. I want to know how to avoid this in the future.

I honestly don’t know how that could have happened. Do you know what could have potentially led up to the incident?

We had people who lost their files but no one i know of has reported losing all items.

Nope, it was yesterday. BUt I remember I wasn’t leaving on the character screen. Idk what really happened. It sucks that im scared to play wom now because it might happen again.

Did you rejoin the game immediately after leaving it? Were you playing during a Datastore outage?

I don’t know if a data outage was happening. No one told me. I don’t know why I shouldn’t rejoin after leaving?

When leaving a server, your Roblox client has to stay open briefly to properly save your data. If you rejoin immediately after leaving, especially if you had high ping in the previous server, your data would end up not saving fully and that may happen.

Oh thanks for telling me. How long should I wait until rejoining because sometimes i server hop and nothing happens.

Usually a minute or two work quite fine.

I usually wait around 30 seconds, though it can vary depending on the ping you had when you left the server.

How do I check my ping?

Shift + F3

Okalright. Thanks for helping

SHIFT + F3, or SHIFT + F5 to check your connection value

88ms a good ping? (20 characters)

Can you also loose data if your internet shut down and roblox cant upload your data?

Yes, that’s low ping which means you have good connection to the server. You shouldn’t have to worry about losing your stuff unless you server hop while your roblox client is still open.

Rarely you can lose data from disconnection, but it usually is only a minute or two of data you’d lose.

How do I know if my roblox client is still open? Task manager right?

Mhm. If the Roblox client is still running, you’d see it in Task Manager.

This has happened to myself as well, there was really no reason that I could see
