A “cheese strat” is to get someone who can solo and let them get him to like 1k hp, then when you join he’ll still be low as fuck
I guess some actual advice would be to get your cooking skill up as food buffs can be super useful and they aren’t that hard to make if you what meals give what. also practice the blocking and parry system, blocking just gives a good dmg reduction to most of his attacks so they can help you stay alive for longer. he is a really hard boss It’s possible to solo it’s just like prometheus from AR.
I only beaten King Calvus with an ally
Play Arcane Reborn
Have above 20+ FPS(I can no death solo every boss with a bow and arrow BUT calvus cuz my computer is too slow to react to some attacks)
Watch a ton of guides and study them(I tried using this but since bad FPS it didn’t work)
Know how to BLOCK, PARRY, DODGE.
Some tips that helped me beat him (yes solo 
)

Pillars are your best friend, When you see him charging up his racist blast attack (the big one), get 1 or 2 hits in, then hide behind one or something else.

Hit him while he is charging, once again only go hit him once or twice or he will punish you, After your done attacking him immediately block or get ready to parry, because you aren’t really dodging it. also DO NOT let him charge this up, or else it will turn into a one shot move and fuck you over

His multiblasts are easy to deal with, just run/ dash around

Play LIKE Calvus, never stop moving because he has very little endlag between attacks and staying still even for a bit will probably get him to kill you, also i wouldn’t try and predict his movement unless you know exactly where he is going, just try and blast at him and his general direction

DO NOT GET CLOSE RANGE DO NOT. Maybe unless your punishing his Sky Beam attack thing, but other than that ALWAYS stay the hell away from the mf. His close range attacks are probably his most devastating

Bring regeneration food to the fight. I seriously doubt anyone is beating this fight without taking less than 10 hits, and some of his attacks is basically impossible to dodge bullshit, so regenerating HP is vital

His second phase is just a bigger, faster, and stronger version of his previous attacks. DO not sell when you get him low as his multiblast attack will ong make you go from full to dead in like 2 seconds

Calvus is a mainly mage specific boss so if you’re magic stat heavy you’ll do better. BUT, here’s advice on beating it -

Abuse your high-damage, long range spells such as blast.

Utilize your surroundings, the stairs and throne in the room are indestructible and can be used to block his projectiles.

If you have good melee stats, learn when it’s safe to go in and attack him. Melee DPS is very high so you need to know when you can go in.

PARRY, PARRY, and PARRY!! This boss will be infinitely easier if you know how to parry, especially in his 2nd stage where some of his attacks do not become avoidable.

Utilize the door method if you need to, you can go out the throne room door and get an easily 200 healed HP before you have to go in and get a hit off or else he WILL REPLENISH his HP.

The jump from Lady Carina to Calvus is crazy, the hardest part about Carina was the damn lag I was experiencing (not frame lag, input lag)
I like this advice, I wonder how much easier the fight would be with potions too 
Basically, the best way I can sum it up is you need to CONSTANTLY be on his ass, give him absolutely zero breathing room while also managing your HP. You need to play hyper aggressive so you can make sure he won’t be able to charge any of his attacks.
For his second phase, it’s mostly the same but more emphasis on survival now
get a friend and tag team his ass
(the agro bugs and lets one person tank all the hits while the other person can just spam attacks while taking little to no dmg)

To me Lady Carina was pretty easy, but she kept outhealing me so I could only finish her off by doing some suicidal melee and hoping it worked ;/
how is 7 hp per tick outhealing lmao 
(well tbf I did use poison when I first fought her which completely shut down her regen gimmick)
I was conjurer and at the level I was at, my magic nor weapon did enough damage to do enough damage to her. I probably should’ve came back at a later date but I was pretty determined to beat her then and there. I was using an old greatsword and plasma magic (short DoT)
Eventually I won through sheer parrying and determination, killed her with melee.
carina and argos were legit both some of the easiest bosses and it really caught me off guard to find just how hard calvus was lol
I utterly obliterated Argos, did the same strat to him I did Elius. (I M1 spammed and clash-nullified all their attacks), I could not do that to Carina so I struggled.
