How to catch a lizard?

So, a lizard somehow got inside of my kitchen. The way my house is built makes it so that the kitchen and the backyard are connected, and there’s a door that leads into the kitchen from there. I suspect that’s how it got in.

I don’t want to bother my mom with this, and plus, it’d be a good experience to actually get the thing. At first I wanted to catch it by smashing a box on top of it so it would be stuck in there, but it wasn’t in the open for me to do that. Also, lizards are fast… so probably wouldn’t have worked anyway.

I hit it a couple times with my broom to try and fling it outside(I opened the door), but it just went under my refridgerator.

Not trying to have a pest problem, how do I get rid of this thing??

I’ve tried to get it to come out from under the fridge, but I can’t actually tell if it’s still in there. Can’t find a flashlight, either. Maybe it’ll just die of starvation or something.

cant you just… ignore it?

cant see much harm a lizard can bring ( other than sht ig )

dont remember seeing them eating my foods either, and my old house have like a bunch of them

wait can you include a picture? i need to know if we are talking about the same type of lizard lol

like finger size? mine are more pale in color, they are pretty harmless but im not sure about yours

Yeah, like the size of my middle or index finger, not including it’s limbs.

ig just leave it alone then, probably either starve or leave soon enough

unless we have some lizard catching experts here catching it is gonna be pretty damn hard considering how fast they are

I mean lizards are pretty cool idk why you would want to get rid of them :lizard:

Whenever I go to DR, They are everywhere and i have found the best method to catch them is to just corner them and eventually catch them with a plastic cup or something, then release them, but also that can trigger their autonomy so that is pretty cruel :person_shrugging:

I mean… it’s inside of MY house, and if it wants to stay it’s gotta pay up. Lizards can’t even get jobs. Die or leave >:(

I’m pretty sure it’s already gone though. I haven’t seen it scurrying around, probably went back to my yard.
