Take a skyship, drift it down as far as you can
Stay seated when it runs out and you (probably) won’t take fall damage when it lands
Just don’t fall in the lava, the ocean next to vents works and the boat floats on top iirc
i believe it sinks to the bottom near instantly, its safer to just land on the vents themselves but not in the lava
also you can just jump off then use a glider about half-way down to slow your descent enough to not take fall damage
the fall dmg height req is higher plus there is lower dmg
what
just parry the damn sea
Jump down and equip glider every so often to slow your descent
If you need to recharge stamina, use moves to airstall
Also remember about dragon glider
some say he’s still stuck up there to this day 
block parry dodge falldamage
Yeah, there isn’t much in terms of “safe” way down besides Flight/Spirit Flight. The main one is tier 5 featherfall potions, luminous corals are very common in the underwater structures, so using one up for each descent isn’t costly. Beyond potions, you can use gliders, air mobility moves or blocking, but you’re gambling at this point - who knows whether or not the game registers that and damages you or not, pure luck from here on.
Descend as far as you can with a skyship, equip a glider and hop off (in that exact order or you cook your stamina) at around 50 energy, float above the ponds and fall while you can, then block while falling
Having to crash a vessel as the prime way of exiting a location and still gambling on instant death is such good game design…
You can also just… keep descending with the skyship
When it crashes, it absorbs the impact and dies but you stay alive
It’s important to keep holding onto the steering wheel until after it’s crashed
You can also just lower the skyship until it is right about to start falling, then hold out the glider (you actually dont need to jump as the distance between the skyship and you will be enough to trigger the glide. (atleast this works for me)) and glide down the rest of the path
If you do this correctly your on the ground without taking damage or gambling on death
(just realized blue said the same but for some reason he has to block damage but its in the same sense)
Also, this has the added benefit of being able to smuggle nimbus sealed chests
You can smuggle them either way when the skyship inevitably crashes
