- Pick a Bronze Sea server which has been up for less than 2 hours and is active with 10-15 players. Make sure there are no potentially-threatening clan members present.
I have no idea what region you should choose tbh - Have 5-star Notoriety beforehand to start; if you don’t, sink and loot merchant and Gravy ships if they aren’t far out of the way.
- Go to Silverhold and kill the guards in your way; gather the outside barrels if they’re present: place 5 of them adjacent to the window outside Kai’s office and detonate them to start the fight.
- While his office is still destroyed, don’t venture into Kai’s sightline: he respawns quickly. Kill the nearby NPCs until you are notified of ‘Forces Inbound’.
- Sink the incoming ships and kill their NPCs if you’re capable of doing so without running a real risk of being arrested, in which case let them chase after you as you sink the remaining boats.
- Stay out of combat — including having your ship attacked by the Grand Navy in any way — for 60 seconds. If this involves sailing far away, do so. After you’ve done so, reset your character to die without being arrested.
- Repeat steps 2-6 until you’re able to claim Silverhold (This is possible when the Grand Navy is below 20% Influence, which can be reached soon after the Grand Navy’s Influence becomes dangerously low.)
- And then claim it, and sink the preceding Grand Navy fleet. (If you want to maintain the claim for Clan Infamy, refer to the below method of claiming.)
-
CLAIM MAINTENANCE TIPS: Getting a clanmate to temporarily claim the island before resetting so you can reclaim it makes it so even if you get ganked, no other clans can claim Silverhold. And you just get to reclaim it whenever. You can rejoin the same server later (screenshot the info) and claim Silverhold back immediately provided influence is below 20% still; just get it back down if you need to.
-
When you die, you’ll have to reclaim the island. If the Influence increases to >20%, you’ll have to reclaim it (and reset to reprompt Notoriety ships so you can easily get the Influence back down). Be sure not to sink evil-aligned ships, since they increase Influence. (Which sucks because my clan’s ideals are aligned with abolishing the Grand Navy in favor of law enforcement that can’t be paid off… and dosen’t kill you for the (based) action of stealing 500 cargo crates from Ravenna and selling them to Sameria to help the war effort)
