i found the spreadsheet, but i don’t know how exactly it works. ik that it being below one means the magic loses and above 1 means the magic wins.
is that just it, or does it like do more damage if it’s more higher for example?

the clash sheet as i view it is the innate set of values of a magic’s interactions between other element attacks
it basically takes in consideration of the clash match up as u see in the sheet and pairs w/ the current dmg formula (basically the stat points invested + gear and what not for ur actual seeable dmg onto someone) but for when two attacks hit another and decides the outcome
i.e if my attack has a high clash rate and higher dmg than the my opponent launches and hits it, my attack will try to negate the opponent’s attack at least and likely continue onward still hitting them at a reduced aoe if it manages to not get canceled out or smth
this is what i observed in wom at least and speculate it’s roughly the same in ao pretty much. not sure if spell types matter too much since i use light magic and regardless if its a blast or explosion aside from a beam it’ll lose 7 times out of 10
(feel free to correct me too btw)
it’s just which spell can through the other one, like an ice blast going through and destroying a water blast
ah ok. was just a bit confused because the lower the number was the more red it was, so i was thinking it might have more effect or smth
sometimes a blast goes through another, sometimes they clash mid-air and stop all together with cool effects, sometimes they have interactions like Lightning and Sand making glass
don’t know if the last part is still in AO
are the stat points gonna matter in AO? because they don’t determine damage anymore
build path stats (mage, beserker, warlock,conjuerer etc) or build stats as in the stats on gear
both are important as the build stats are what enable u to equip stuff and obtain moves in the first place so yeah. and gear stats is self evident and obvious ;-;
idr this change exactly because stat points should scale for stuff for things like arcanium weps, str weps, artisan weps, etc from what i can remember
both things were the same question
my question was if the stat points are gonna matter in a clash because it was made that stats are only really needed for using skills/equipment, instead of the damage.
