The devspec users can still use any other method of gaining infamy completely risk free goofball. Idk if you knew this but having a devspec usually discourages most people from claiming their island, stealing their sealed chests, etc which gives the devspec users an advantage.

Yeah, this is a bit shady, got to agree on that, they do have an advantage on discouraging other people to go against them.
But I’do say thats because people dont realize they can actually go agaisnt their clan without worrying about the devspecs as long as they know they arent going specificaly against astra and/or xxael.
Also its not as if they were omipresent. They arent 24 hours a day in the game. So I honestly dont think it is a noticeable advantage.

More than 40 infamy because like I said, there’s devspec members that can get as much infamy as they want with no risks at all unlike everyone else which is very unfair

Cmon now, 40 infamy now and then makes no difference when claimming an island already gives that amount every 5 minutes.
Misinterpreted it. Yeah im just going to make the same point as the above one. I dont think they have such a noticeable advantage when they arent going to come to aid their clan unless they are the ones getting attacked. Just the misconcept of the playerbase that they cant attack ravecreast or astra and xxael will hop on to defend their clan is the real issue here, honestly.

i dont see how this point is invalid, it points out an advantage, and there are other valid points in the thread as well. just because you cant refute/understand them doesnt mean they’re automatically invalid

Again, they being at the top 2# doesnt change the fact that they only retribute when THEY are attacked. You can freely attack the clan, and it is not as if they would call for astra or xxael to come to their aid.

it kind of does because well, being in the number #2 top clan usually means youre going to be attacked and ganked very often. i cant believe i have to explain this. if this clan has 2 unkillable players its quite unfair. every other clan in the game has to play normally. “just dont attack them” is a flawed point because again, its a competitive environment. if they dont want to be attacked they would maybe just not join a top lb clan?

…its an advantage nonetheless? youre hurting your own argument. even if it gives a 1% advantage the point still stands. nobody in a competitive game/environment should have an advantage over other players no matter how small or large.

This is one of the most insane threads I’ve ever had the misfortune of reading.

I… I really just think that using the custom magic made it an unfair fight, probably. I don’t know the exact stats so I wouldn’t know. It would be cool if custom magics were more like a cosmetic, like the look or a magic that doesn’t do any damage while they also have their choice of magic.

I don’t know, I just am looking at it more like “hey, don’t risk possible unfair situations.”

the worst part is im 90% sure all these people arguing in defence of astral and xxael dont even know what happened, like people saying astral got ganked are wrong…

besides that ganking is common in overworld pvp ESPECIALLY in clan wars, just because your a dev doesn’t mean you should be immune to a central part of AO clan battling. no Xxael and astral shouldn’t be immune to being hunted.
