Hypothetical Savant crafting

Savant is being changed dramatically next update and I’m trying to make what would hypothetically be the most synergistic savant because of how the awakening change affects it. It now has the ability to imbue magic and spirit into anything & fs into weapons, but it loses the second magic option. I think we need to break this up into 4 major parts

Synergies
Savant has the best imbue in the game now so we need to take advantage of synergies to make out kit coherent; definetly smth with a bleeding syn
Arcanium & reflex
We should also have a magic/fs with good arcanium so that we can create the most efficent armor build possible, these days armor builds are more important than build. the reflex is self explanatory, smth with a TP dodge so we don’t have to worry about however we will be able to unlock hypermobility on full release.
Stat distrubution
we should factor in the fact that we could have 200 levels or 180 level or anywhere between. if you build is dependent on lance then you might not be able to even use.


My Idea?
for level 200
an ice savant with 90 str 100 spr 120 mag 90 weapon
100 spr for spirit burst and astrapikis on eagle patrimony, which is imbued with ice magic (lightning does 20% to frozen)
90 str for slam and shockwave and more mobility with rushdown
120 magic for beam ((lightning does 20% to frozen)
90 weapon for third weapon skill (maybe 60 since third weapon skills are getting removed from old weapons) (20% ice syn with bleed)
thoughts? and try making you own savant build it’s lowkey fun

Ash or other heat magic
SSword (steam imbue)
Powder fist (magic imbue for stun)

100 magic
120 str
130 wep (for ss)

In case arcanium isn’t added or not working as i expect i may go 60 magic 60 spirit 130 Str 130 wep.
I use fire magic and can imbue sailor fist for steam and eagle patrimony on sword for paralysé and get 4th skill on Argos weapons.
I mainly want this so i Can use a golden sunken sword cuz i think it’ll be pretty.

 100 Magic (Barrage), 130 Strenght (Argos’), 130 Weapon (Argos’)
Tools:

  • Magma
  • Thermo
  • Lance of Loyalty, Kai’s Sabre/Sunken Sword, Silent Claws

Effects:

  • Melting (+40% Damage/10 Seconds)
  • Seared (+20% Damage/3 Seconds)
  • Bleeding (+20% Damage/5 Seconds)
  • Scalded (+30% Damage/5 Seconds?)

Synergies:

  • Melting + Thermo/Seared + Magma = +10%
  • Bleed + Magma/Thermo/Steam = +15% (clear)
  • Scalded + Magma = +7.5%, Scalded + Thermo = +10%
  • Melting/Seared + Steam = +10%

Sand magic would be good with savant.
Reasons why:
_bleed synergy (weapons)
_lightning synergy (patrimony)
_blinding for pve
_is considered a hot magic so it can make steam with sailor fist and sword.
_i think has a synergy with scalding.
_overall good stats
_looks good when imbued with golden spirit energy.
That’s all.

im pretty sure it doesn’t do that.
sure it has negative synergy with soaked, but its sand
that doesn’t make steam in the slightest

anyways if the level cap ends up as 175, i’ll be making a savant.
100 magic, 120 strength, 130 weapons.
Fire, Powder Fist, Lance, maybe Colossal Greatsword (prob just a regular one though), and probably a Musket or one of Hallbjorn’s weapons since Vetex said they were strength weapons.

That’s litterally the one i’m going for.

So what drip are you going for? i didn’t find anything suiting me yet…

Considering i’m not going to make it till the level cap hits 175 at least, i’ll be waiting to see what gets added in the update for drip potential.

Now make the worst Savant ever

nice post but one correction: Lightning does 20% to frozen, not freezing. Frozen is caused by reactions, such as Soaked+Ice. You’d need Sailor(can’t get with 90 Str) or SSword to get this bonus.

apply soaked → spirit imbued magic → dmg bonus;
Soaked + Imbued Ice = +10% + Frozen (not imbued)
10% Frozen + Lightning Imbue = “shatter” +10% (imbued reduction)
+20% on any attack the procs frozen.


Anyways, I’m probably only doing 3-way Savant; assuming we get level 175:

120 Spirit / 140 Magic / and either Weapons or Strength (90), if its strength i go I-leg.

My plan is Ice magic alongside Tidestone and Patrimony (with either StaffoNight or CrystalOrb), then use the bleeding from I-leg/Weapons.

With this set-up, my I-leg/Weapons would be imbued with Tidestone and apply bleeding and Soaking (+2.5% damage), then any ice attacks will proc both frozen and get the damage increase from Bleeding, whilst i also use the patrimony on my ice to get every better damage:

Soaked+Ice = +10% + frozen status;
ice+bleed= +10%* no-clear;
lighting imbue + bleed = +10%* clear;
lightning imbue + frozen = +10%* clear

“*” is for imbued damage reduction.

+40% damage increase on my Magic attacks.

I’d probably prioritize Power/Size, with StaffoNight/CrystalOrb helping because it has no synergies to mess up the damage combo. even with accuracy coming along, I doubt I’d need it, and I find it better to work with what your skills are good at, instead of going for coverage.

Assuming we go over 175, I’d probably lean more into spirit, ending up with: 160Spi/150Mag/90Str, mostly so i can get Spirit Walk (peak mobility).

I really wanna have golden spirit energy on sunken sword, also on fire magic (holy fire or idk)
I am mainly a savant for the drip, and because i like to use EVERYTHING this game has to offer and that is why i can’t use any pure build exept warrior because they’re not stimulating enough. (Mage is just beam and blast spam and occasionaly the rare spells)

If it helps; these are all the ways to trigger frozen:

Freezing + Wind/Snow
Soaked + Ice/Snow
Snowy + Wind
33% Ice

If you decide to leave Cold for Heat (:frowning:) then Petrified can be triggered with:

Charred + Plasma/Fire/Ash/Steam
Burning/Seared/Singed + Ash
33% Ash

Savant build idea:
150 weapon 150 Str and rest in spirit
Thermo fist
3 copys of collossal greatswords
Ruthless path

Red mist build

Just made a savant file and when I got dodge reflex, vitality was there as an option despite 0 points in vitality. Would this translate to the magic and its imbue, like having 0 points in magic still letting you keep it and the option of imbue. If so that made me think of shadow with 0 points in magic for free imbue buffs.

Edit: if the wiki is accurate snow and glass (after it gets the imbue buff) also only have positive imbues.
If this works then I’ll probably make a snow savant with no magic

  • Spirit Weapons (unknown stat requirements)
  • Snow
  • Iron Leg

Effects:

  • Snowy
  • Bleeding (+20% Damage/5 Seconds)
  • Frozen (potential synergy)

Synergies:

  • Frozen + Ileg = +20% (potential synergy)
  • Bleeding + Snow = +5%
  • Unknown synergies based on relics
