Yeah, pirate island will be your third questing island. Relative to the docks of pirate starter, it’s kind of north west
There’s also a map near the docks of the starter island that shows the first few islands, which helps a bit when starting out
Yeah the game does a pretty piss poor explanation of unlocking additional stuff.(This is especially apparent when you get to race upgrades and what not.)
There are 3 options to unlock new moves:
- Getting a fruit (Basically gambling as a good chunk are complete dogshit)
- Getting a new fighting style (Trainers are sprinkled around the map)
- Buying a “sword” (Just buying a weapon from one of the npc’s)
How do people even compare this to AO? They both have boats, fighting styles, and whatever I guess
The same reason people compare AO to Deepwoken. They both have a focus on the sea and they both have boats
Why tf does it cost 150,000 for dark step? Nah man, I am outta here-
That’s pretty cheap all things considered
That’s 10x what I’ve made in my entire playthrough so far.

imo the only thing blox fruits does “better” than ao is that it has more content (even if said content is just bandit beating)
the reason why blox fruits gets hundreds of thousands of players and ao doesnt is because blox fruits appeals to ipad kids and ao doesnt (because they cant run it)
*also the forced pvp cooldown

It also doesn’t share levels, i was running from a fight in this game thinking they were max level and then i one shot them
