if you mean defense structures for decoration, it would be pretty cool but no clue if that would be implemented
remove the invisible walls, let everyone open the gates. done.
Im saying that you wont even have to spend money on ANY kind of defense if you’re a guild because you wont be attacked. So there isnt any reason to chose clans over guilds, less expensive and risky.
So outside of leaderboards, what will be the benefit of being in a clan?
Well yea… I’m just telling the guy (BlueFighter15) that guilds cannot build Defense structures, and if you had a base with Defense structures it will not be loaded. As for decoration matters, I’ve already made a post on that just above.
It’s just a matter of preference on how they want to play the game, really.
Clans have the “your life is on the line” tension when near other clan people and provides adrenaline rush to every encounters/ganks. To some players, that adrenaline rush alone from encounters/ganks is what makes this game fun.
Guilds are more consistent and relaxed for casual players to have fun with their guildmates without the worry and tension. However since there is no risk, there is no adrenaline rush. Some people may find that boring.
i am having an aneurysm
I know that, I’m saying that, for at least decorative purposes, guilds should be allowed to use walls, keeps, barracks and weaponry.
If “your life is on the line” then clans should have some kind of benefit compared to guilds
you missed my point
adrenaline, it’s really addicting for some people. taking infamy off your enemy is pretty exciting. but it gets depressing when they take your infamy
It’s their choice to do that, they shouldn’t just get rewarded for doing that even if it does require a little risk. Most pvpers and clans find the (as SF said) adrenaline to be a large factor and basically are just primates who always want a source of energy. It’s practically a drug to them.
Basic risk reward in videogames, if all you add is risk and claim that the reward is the “adrenaline” you end up with a bad feature, I promise you 99% of new players will always make a guild instead of a clan.
There’s no major reward for climbing the renown/clan leaderboards, bounty hunting, claiming islands for infamy, or even randomly ganking noobs, and yet people do all those things for fun anyway
clans have the exclusive infamy shop items and a separate leaderboard. but yeah i guess they’re a feature supposed to be targeted at a more hardcore audience that wants to progress their groups by killing people instead of pve activities. itll probably be faster to prog clans if ur good than it is to prog guilds.
i think its fine as it stands. clans have a hardcore pvper audience which provides faster progression at the cost of higher risk, while guilds are for a casual audience and slowly built up over months/years of gameplay
The clan progression is gonna be terrible though. If the only ways to get infamy are farming islands (slow) and fighting people (who from now on will also be dedicated pvpers), if on average you win 50% of fights the progression is going to be abyssmal
Well, clans know what they’re in for, don’t they?
Oh no! Dedicated pvpers will now have to fight other dedicated pvpers instead of preying on pve players minding their own business?! The horror!
blame the soft pve players that infested the game with complaints about being ‘ganked’ in a open world game with pirates. this should of never been a thing to begin with lol, sad to see how the game has evolved
This is literally just a case of “play stupid games, win stupid prizes”
Ignores the many occasions Vetex outright said he wouldn’t have any PvP if it wouldn’t kill the game cutely
Very kind reminder:
Vetex intended for the game to be PVE focused
of course he wouldnt give some major gameplay benefit for being PVP
PVP is an option that diverts away from PVE
If you want to PVP, nobody’s stopping you - but dont go complaining about how you dont get to fight people who want to do PVE or how PVE has no risk over PVP in a PVE intended game
Misconstruding my point to appear funny doesnt help your argument
You must be really shit at PvP
