I finished arcane

Spoilers ahead.

I plan to rewatch it in its full again soon however to let it cook over in my head, whence I do get all my thoughts in I could update this post again.

Now, first… I dont know much about league lore as I’ve never played it but eventually I might just to try it out (after all why shouldn’t I try something first before forming thought, like the first sin of man biting into the fruit of knowledge, they only understood then what they’ve done.) so I will look at arcane as by itself only.

On first viewing, I did not remember anyone’s names. I am not sure if they were mentioned and me in my brain fantasizing about being a merchant in this world, lost track of those details.
(That is one of the reasons I’d like to rewatch the show just to be sure)

It was strange to me how there were these characters who just showed up at one point without setup from season one like

the Chem Barons

Braum (which I dont think he was ever named?)

Singed (who I only knew was doctor reckert up until season two)

I do think it is difficult to make a series already established in lore and with designs themselves, the creators tried their best with what they were given.

anyway

SINGED WAS SUPPOSED TO BE A FIGHTER?? you tell me this guy, pale and so weak, wouldve been carrying this massive shield and a proper combatant THAN SILCO?

throughout the series he felt more like an other worldly further entity than an actual character, especially on season one being a chemist for silco.
he also felt like a deus ex machina like some kind of revive or boost to jinx at one point, maybe after rewatch my perspective would change.

and then braum, suddenly appearing, sleeping in the streets, at first I didnt notice his coat signifying how his actually an enforcer but then why was he sleeping in the street?
he is also a combatant but just never made sense, I guess when you have over a hundred characters in your game you would start using them as fodder at some point… I thought he was cool tho

I did really like the chem barons, it really showed a fair democracy between zaun and piltover. I love it when a series has small scale politics/trade economy like in mad max for example…

I think it really extends the world when you start introducing geopolitics into it and it shapes it amazingly, especially economics although we dont see it as much but if we consider hextech or shimmer being passed around as economy, its good enough.

that are my thoughts for now, I’d really like to learn more of the world (without having to play league or wait near 10 years to watch noxus)

Arcane Odyssey better

Also why did that random child die? Served no purpose

Arcane has to be one of my top three shows. To humanize and fix early writing with well-done character growth, something that people who suffer from similar childhoods can relate to. I didn’t personally like some notes of the ending, but I adored the entire show. I can’t wait for the other shows! Fantastic.

Just AAA I love it sm

which child, there was a lot of children.

also I’d like to actually mention, there was not a lot of “gore” which made it kinda too friendly for me… not by much but I did notice it having less, its not bad tho

They probably mean Isha. Which, I cried. A lot.

Also, I think that was more for an effect experience? Not a lot of gore so when it does show, it sends the message of the seriousness.

Also, yes, Jinx is my favorite character and she is why blue is tied for my favorite color with green.

The blue haired one (not Jynx), I didn’t really care about their names

I’ve been listening to isha’s song a lot, aswell as the french one and wasteland

I was not as effected emotionally by isha’s death but artistically and cinematically… it was an amazing addition unlike braum’s, it was really needed to show jynx in a better light

yeah man I swear I just did not get anyone’s names until I finished season two

I’m so sorry but I have to say it

Sometimes you speak like those kids in my class in 5th grade that, when we were showed a documentary about the Holocaust, started saying shit like “I find this funny” or “this doesn’t effect me, I can’t feel” like I’m so sorry but it’s just how you come off

I had to say it I am so so so sorry I had to get it off of my chest :sob:

I have autism, Im really sorry if I come off as emotionless at times but I promise I am not always like that.
that type of person is exactly who I try to deny myself but I know I will always fall on, I am really sorry.

I do think death is terrible but in my logical brain I only saw cinematography and art within that death

no - let me elaborate

Not emotionless, but sometimes, it’s phrasing - and I don’t mean that you “find death cool” I mean it reminded me of those kids who’d try and act emo and go “I live in the darkness” but are now fuckboys - I am sorry to have offended :sob:

Let me clarify, I meant the want for “gore” and not seeing the death as sad reminded me briefly of those wannabe emos lmao

Anyways, the writers for SURE have some parental issues. “Tell my daughter”, “all for her”, SILCO? VI?? Like those writers need some therapy themselves my GOD-

I wanna say that I do not like gore, I do not condone any violence like that out of fetishism or kind of lust, I am just used to there being a lot more attacks landing whenever people fight on scenes.

I think that characters, especially main ones, should be shown to bleed. otherwise it would feel like these characters are on a preppy tinky link, being kept clean and undirty…

I am not offended, I do not like mentioning it either but I had to be clear, its fine

proven true that art should uncomfort the comfortable
