I might have figured out the poem in the trailer

Golden Ichor of long past,
do your best to make it last,

Fire the furnace that burns still,
even if you have to inherit its will,

the sword of time pierces all,
brace yourself for its fall,

Those who sow the wind,
Shall reap the whirlwind

Starting off it seems like it is a prophecy, I think it will be the main catalyst for our player and will warn of all major events.

  • The first two lines seem of the poem to be hinting that the blood of Ouranos is running out in the ocean. It also could just mean the blood of immortals, in general, is running out. (this can be further hinted at by Mount Othrys being an endgame location since Mount Othrys is where Kronos and his siblings killed Ouranos)
(Also, for those of you who don’t know, Ichor is the blood of the immortals, so that means titans, gods, and giants.)

  • The next pair might be related to Hephaestus (god of smithing and fire) or the cyclopses. Perhaps there is a trapped cyclops and we have to take his burden, kind of like holding up the world for Atlas but we inherit the will of the furnace.
(Even if this isn’t true inheriting the will of the furnace does not seem like a good thing)

  • The sword of time is probably the sword used by Kronos to kill Ouranos and spread his blood across the world. (also Kronos is known as father time so that could be a further confirmation)
(I am running blank on what its fall could mean so if anyone has any ideas lmk)

  • In the last lines, I have no idea what that might mean. It’s clearly playing at the phrase “you reap what you sow” but I have no idea what it means to sow the wind. (maybe sailors since they use the wind to move their ships?)
(I did a slight amount of research and the phrase is uncommonly used. However, it has been used in a few media and has ancient origins in Rome)

I am sure this is not 100% accurate but Vetex is a writer and wouldn’t create such a prophetic poem if it didn’t have major significance to the story. But let me hear everyone’s thoughts on it. Do you think I’m reading too much into it? What parts do you think hit the nail on the head?

Also, to be a little blunt, please read the lore document before making any silly comments about the game’s relation to greek mythology.

Canonically, everything pre-imprisonment of Prometheus still happened according to greek mythology. So Kronos is dead as well as Ouranos and they absolutely undeniably exist/existed in the Arcane Universe.
