I need help with the King Calvus boss fight

I’m fighting King Calvus right now and it’s really annoying. I can barely do any damage to him because I have a serious skill issue, and sometimes I will walk into the room and he just kills me instantly.

I’m a level 101 warlock with lightning and boxing (I’m doing the quest to get sailor style though), and like I said above, I have a serious skill issue. My main strategy has been to dodge his attacks and shoot him with blast and beam, but it’s still not working well. So, does anybody have any good strategies for beating him?

tbh i kinda cheesed him by having another stranger preserve his health
one guy died but the other survived for long enough for the other to get back, creating an endless cycle

i still dont think i wouldve beat the boss without that guy

iron leg being accessable at 80 str and the quest is just breaking 10 trees
and also yuo can just server hop to find a dude grinding it

Know what to block and what not to block, keep moving around, and practice.

If u dont want to watch the video, here are the major points:

  • When Calvus charges a ball, he either throws it or it explodes (only if you were near him during his charge) 3x (5x in phase 2). Either dodge or block this.
  • The nuke requires you to interrupt his charge to reduce both AOE and damage of it. The best way to interrupt is shooting him with a blast, and as soon as your blast hits dash towards him, allowing you to heavily punish Calvus for using the nuke (you do need some agi for this). In phase 2, you can punish even harder.
  • When Calvus spawns orbs/tridents around him, know that those orbs/tridents will fire at you ~20-30s later even if hes charging, so play safe.
  • After a slam, Calvus will do one of two attack comboes:
    Slam → Trident Throw/Beam(phase 2) → Barrage → Rush Slam → Slam
    If he does this DODGE the barrage, then dash away and hold block after he starts the rush. If you’re no longer near him, hit him with 2 blasts, otherwise dash away and hit him with a blast.
    OR
    Slam → Grab → If missed, slam/tempest(phase 2)
    This is pretty dangerous, considering that the grab does a total of 450 damage. Just don’t be close to Calvus when he slams.

Dont play aggressive unless you know how to fight him, use the throne to block attacks and charge since its indestructible (phase 2 orb throw AOE will hit you through throne)
