I need some pointers on jewel crafting

If you’re looking for useful secondary stats.
Go for auric seaweed, coppershrooms, and stormsalt.

They give water breathing, passive energy regen, and swim speed respectively.
All super useful in a game where everything’s constantly surrounded by water.

Throw thornflowers and similarly useless secondary stats onto rare tier gems instead, it’d be a waste to put them on exotic tier gems that have otherwise good primary stats lol.

I would assume so

Good idea

When at a lower level jewel crafting should you save your better gems for when you get perfect so you can have the best stats and just use random extra gems to gain xp, or is there a way to upgrade them later?

ALSO if you get gems with super good rolls that you don’t want, look for players with super low jewelcrafting levels and they’ll usually give you THEIR reagents and gems in exchange.

ESPECIALLY after you reach perfect tier.

Sounds like I good idea to me but I’m asking for advice too so idrk

Absolutely not, if you get a dull tier gem with a perfect secondary stat roll, keep it and upgrade it to perfect tier later on.
You CAN do that at jewelcrafting stations.
Any gem can be made perfect tier.

There’s no reason at all to hold back!!!
Unless you’re super worried about galleons since it is a bit expensive.

Oh right I forgot you can do that

Yeah that was one thing that held me back from grinding it a bunch
I didn’t rly like the price tag

thornflowers are very common in dark sea islands, even in small ones you get 5, enough for 1 craft
