Heyo people! I’ve been using ice magic since the game came out, and I’ve been planning on getting water magic as a second. I’ve been wondering what build I should do. Right now, I only have ice magic but when the next storyline comes out, ill get water! I’ve been considering a power/defense build, but one thing that it’s lacking is casting speed. Ice magic casts very slowly (placed explosions), and of course is very slow as well. I’d like to know what you all think, and hopefully get some specific suggestions on what items to use! Thanks!
I wouldn’t go for casting speed, its much more beneficial to have power and defense. If Ice casts slow then when second magic comes out you should use water if you aren’t comfortable with the casting speed.
Alright thanks! I chose water because of the great synergy, so I was hoping to get some combos off, but I wasn’t sure if that was worth the loss in power. I really appreciate it!
all magics have the exact same cast speed
Well then. Thanks for that info! That really helps xD
You can do the soon-to-be meta and go hailstorm mage.
Sorry? Can you please explain what you mean?
It’s one of the most evident paths most people with lighting (or in your case, ice) would get. It means you have lighting, water and ice as your three magics. Lighting synergizes quite well with water, water has its synergy with ice, as you know, and if you freeze your opponent, lighting will deal about 50% more dmg (I think, may need to fact check.
Hey! That’s exactly what I was gonna do! I didn’t realize it would be a meta xD
And you’re right, it does 50% more
He’s talking about placed explosions. Why do you always assume people are talking about things that make their argument invalid?
did he mention placed explosions in his text? I might have missed it, but I’m pretty sure he didn’t. Besides, he said
which implies that the magic as a whole has a slower cast speed, which is untrue.
Yeah I was talking about explosions I’m sorry, I should have specified that
He didn’t mention beams/blasts either
There is literally no default cast speed stat for magic. (Unless you count everything being 1X as the default)
All magics share the same cast speed, except for placed explosions, iirc. I see now that he WAS in fact talking about placed explosions, but the statement “Ice magic casts very slowly” does infact imply that the magic casts slower than other magics.
Of course, you could argue semantics and say “well placed explosions are part of it, so technically ice magic DOES cast very slowly!” but that’s just misleading.
YES. X1 IS THE DEFAULT, BECAUSE EVERYTHING HAS IT. THEY’RE ALL THE SAME. (except, of course, for placed explosions)
I meant as in, it’s not listed as an actual stat on any doc because it’s just 1, casting speed for placed explosions is dependent on the Magic’s default magic speed.
“Also it might just be me, but I tend to assume people know what they’re saying more than not which isn’t the case a lot of the time”
well yeah. I mean, if everything is the same, doesn’t that mean they’re all the default?
edit: i can already tell that this is going offtopic/is offtopic so i am adios
Casting speed is nice, but since you’re going ice and water which are both magics with big size affinity you should probably experiment with size.
I think they are not too slow to work with, so no need for magic speed rn because you might need to sacrifice too much of other stats.
Size might be more beneficial for your magics specifically so you should consider it as one of your main options.
Alrighty! I think that sunken would help a lot with that… I would grind it out if it wasn’t such a bore
