since daily quests will be implemented most likely in the future, i thought i’d suggest how they could be. if you’re in one of the two (soon to be three with Juraserva) joinable factions, you could go to their respective HQ’s to collect a quest. this quest would be in a seperate tab from the main and side ones, and it would just be a small task you complete for some small EXP and Galleons.
it would be different depending on said faction. i’ll list some examples.
Example Quests - Navy
Fight and Defeat # Wanted Criminal(s)
Plunder # Pirate/Assassin Ships
Gain # Renown
Chat to a Specific NPC
Example Quests - Assassins
Fight and Defeat # Heroes
Plunder # Navy Ships
Gain # Bounty
Chat to a Specific NPC
Example Quests - Juraserva (from what we know)
Journal (Something)
Collect # (Items)
Chat to a Specific NPC
Reasonings, and other stuff too i guess:
it’d be a sort of immersive experience, much like how Fishing and Cooking can be as well, and these small fetch quests would also be mostly optional, not giving anything absolutely gamechanging. maybe after doing a certain number, however, you could get a special item, like a special weapon, reskinned depending on what guild you’re in (but with the same stats, abilities, etc.)
(if so, the weapon would probably change design if you left the guild or joined another)
as for players who aren’t part of a guild, it would probably be some random NPC who still holds some significance to the story (say, Nihla) who asks you to do something around the island, and would still give you whatever reward (ex. weapon, gem, whatever) after completing so many daily quests.
this also gives a sort of reason for more HQ’s to be added (probably one per faction, per sea) even if it’s relatively small (for instance, not every Navy hangout has to be as large as Silverhold. small bases for simple operations exist within the Navy too, similar to how Fort Talos works.)
What about every day, each sea generates its own content which would be the same across each server of that sea, and players would explore it for their daily based on faction
Navy: there would be two criminals generated each day, one for bronze, one for nimbus. 160 and 260 respectively, and your daily is to beat them. Beating them for the first time gives you loot based on their level
Assassins: this would be a fortified/armored ship with a VIP on it you’d have to kill
Juraserva: uncharted islands you have to report on. In these could fill the very large gaps of the nimbus sea or that big open area of the bronze sea. Generated with dark sea generation, though without the crazy biomes. You’d have to do exploration tasks to complete the quest
yeah that works as well. if one person completes the daily would it complete it server-wide though? because otherwise, i think it’d be kind of tough to spawn 1 VIP ship for every assassin that joins
They’d respawn. So the VIP ship would respawn once sunk on the opposite corner of the sea, the criminal would be let out of jail after a 20 minute period
Not sure how to feel about making daily quests tied to the ingame factions, especially the two pvp factions that already exist. You’re basically encouraging pve players to label themselves as pvpers with the pvp clans for more pve content (which this game has a drought of). Though I think tying it to Juraserva is fine (depending on if it’s pvp oriented or not), it’s also planned content so we don’t know what Vetex is cooking.
I’m also just generally against artificially encouraging players to play something every day just cause I think it makes games less fun (by a lot).
I mentioned players who arent part of a guild, aka part of their own clan or no clan at all here.
And yeah, im not the biggest fan of the idea of daily stuff either, but since vetex seems to plan on adding it regardless i thought id make an idea for it
