Idea: Resolve/Willpower

I still don’t really know how this website works, so bear with me.

Vitality currently doesn’t really work with the game’s premise, in other games more health is a good secondary stat, however here it simply either limits your attacks and damage if you’re adding little vitality on top of a non-vitality build, or it makes you a warlock / conjurer / warlord with very limited options. Hear my idea out.

Spirit weapons are the current upcoming idea for vitality builds, i don’t believe that could ever compare with normal or arcanium weapons however. If i want to use weapons and fighting style, i will become a warlord, not a juggernaut. same with paladin and conjurer.

Tldr; Spirit weapons are too similiar to weapons and vitality is currently unnessecary for the game and likely will be overshadowed by the weapon stat.

Replacing vitality with resolve or willpower will bring a unique element to the stat, distinguishing it from weapons and making it compatible with every build. Here’s what it will do

These mechanics will be unlocked by paladins, knights and juggernauts. As a warden, they become much stronger.

Sensing
An already planned mechanic allowing users to sense nearby players and take less damage by focusing their energy outward when about to get hit ( Auto-predicted by game)

Energy manipulation
Users are to use their spiritual energy in large, fast and strong beams, yet making the user temporarily vulnerable to incoming damage depending on how powerful the attack was. This gives resolve a unique way of fighting which it currently does not and isn’t planned to.

Storm Aura (need better name help)
A much more powerful version of aura/focus. This greatly amplifies the strength of those using it and grows stronger by feeding off opponents energy. It will make those around it slightly insane and make their energy regenerate slower, while making them slightly colorblind and having strong pulsating effects over a large area.

Once again, i don’t know how this website works but has anyone told vetex he already has a weapon stat? Spirit weapons better be amazing if he doesn’t rework it

  1. we know literally nothing about spirit weapon other than it take health to use, bit too early to speculate rn, but yeah lets pray it isnt just weapon but with a drawback
  2. from what weve seen in the dark sea, seems like Vetex has already planned a decent amount of lore about spirit weapons so its unlikely he will scrap it entirely

The only thing we know about spirit weapons is that they take hp to cast, we have no information on what their skills are or how they’ll function. Hell, we don’t even have any concept designs for what they’d look like.

ye i came up with that so it isn’t just drawback bc it seems like vetex added the spirit weapon mechanic to some god damn a r m o r

which in turn prompts little warden main plotting me into thinking vetex can’t come up with something original for vit builds :frowning:

Well yeah, if vetex fully knew what to do with spirit weapons then they’d probably be in the game on launch day.

Yeah I know, but it’s in the categories section to the left of the page. I’m just going to assume you’re on mobile or something, but you should still be able to go there and see things. Don’t remember if there is any requirement for discussing things or voting.

elaborate? correct me if i’m wrong but radius fist is the more damage you take the more damage you do right? My idea is the other way around. You do a lot of damage but take more damage from outside attacks as well, this would create a very defensive playstyle which suits vitality imo
