If attack speed rework gets through, what will happen?

I scanned through the balance trello, and what piqued my curiousity the most is the attack speed rework.

As far as what I understood, the purpose of the rework is to adjust the negation of slow fs/weapon, by having high enough attack speed. Furthermore, the attack speed efficiency is also raised to 50%.

Does this mean, as stated in there, that having high enough attack speed will no longer negate the almost instant casting of slow fs/weapon?

In what whay will these change affect an innately high casting speed fs/weapon like thermo/knife throw? Will this further enhance their casting speed due to the increase of attack speed efficiency? Or will they remain the same?

How about on magic?

yeah atk speed is getting 50% efficiency now but diminishing returns are increasing in exchange (also fast magics are getting a speed affinity nerf D:)

WHY CAN’T I JUST BE FAST?
The good way to handle it would be to raise the base speed of slow things instead of lowering it for fast thing, because fast gameplay is fun.

I mean they are increasing the speed of slow magics but yeah i wanna throw out flashbangs at mach 10 >:(

I think balance team disregards fun most of the time. You can even say that they’re responsible for a good portion of delayed content just because of all the useless changes they do.

yeah the balance team is pretty much tryna make all the builds more similar to each other which may make the game more balanced but it removes the flavour and uniqueness of making a build. Tell me the last time a build that didn’t look something like 100 POWER, 900 DEFENSE, 200 SUBSTAT was actually good

I dislike entire pvp Community in general, very stinky
The balance is hurt more general player like me who is not into pvp

In my opinion they should be balancing things to bring out the uniqueness of it, and for actually balancing the stats like speed and size and defense they should balance it for PvE instead of PvP. I also feel like the lower stats more than they increase stats, which generally lowers uniqueness aswell, because everything ends up being the same. Another thing they do is directly need the magics gimmick, for example when they made ice and magam platforms not refresh air movement and relfexs

Maybe I should tell more people about this card because people probably don’t actually know how the balance team fundamentally operates.

Ngl you should try to make the magics similar but each nerf = buffing the gimmicks which encourages players to use their magic unique to what it is instead of chasing the meta

depends on the person
(pls save my motion sickness breaks as well as lag spikes)
having super fast gameplay makes the game more prone to desyncs issues as well as making it harder for lower end PCs to be able to keep up in fights
along with the type of game this is (with most hits being in endlag/startup) you’d need to have around similar atk spd to the opponent to keep up

Well the intention is different from the execution. After reading through the balance charter of rights I understand that you guys certainly aren’t slacking off but it still feels like not much is being done to make the non vanilla builds viable

I aren’t deceive easily by that lmao, hate your ass for making magic feel less unique now especially slow magic
