But other ideas I got are sun and lunar magic variations based on eclipses: sun having a solar eclipse variant and lunar having a lunar eclipse variant

Solar eclipse variant of sun would have a dark grey center with a dark reddish-orange on the outside

Lunar eclipse variant of lunar would have a gray center and a dark purplish-blue outside
