If you could add a new specific structure to the Dark Sea, what would it be?

I’ll probably add an “Atlantean Fortress”, with two different runs:

Stealth run is like Fort Talos, u sneak in and loot it, although the loot is lesser. You do this via sewers, vents, etc.

Loud is just going in and commiting genocide, best done with a group. The enemies inside are dependent by the range, and the fortress is divided into three layers: the first two layers contain weaker Atlanteans, while the third layer is exclusive to Loud, as it contains a chamber similar to General Argos arena. There will be a General of some sorts in there, significantly more powerful, and they have a key that unlocks a treasure room.

Fortresses also give Clan Infamy, the imfamy is number of chests looted*5

Loot is a ton of Dark Sea Sealed Chests

The fortress also has cannons, and once a mission starts, the time limit is 25 minutes. If the limit is exceeded, reinforcements will come in the form of Atlantean ships.

Some sort of house or structure with notes that work similarly to the ghost dialogue belonging to someone who either tried to live in the dark sea or who got stranded on the island.

Put an atlantean in it for story telling

personally i’d add The Cube

An old, abandoned pirate hideout.

It would be in an underground grotto with a narrow cave opening connected to the sea, with some old rotting shipwrecks inside, and the usual pirate fixings. A tavern, a vault to stash loot, rickety walkways crisscrossing overhead, etc.

There could be lost sailors inside, all ruled by an atlantean boss.

The last stand of a group of G.N who were forced to run into the Dark Sea by an A.S fleet and were chased by said fleet

The island would look like a battlefield of sorts with a bunch of A.S shipwrecks around it, 1 really large G.N ship wreck, and a sort of ruined G.N fort/outpost that looks like it was hastily set up in the center. Around the A.S ships/outside the fort Skeletons/Atlanteans wearing the outfits of primarily A.S with a few G.N and around the G.N ship/in the fort the reverse. At the centermost part of the fort would be its bosses, the Assassin Overseer who led the fleet and the Navy Admiral who captained the ship, still duking it out even after they became Atlanteans (they wouldn’t deal damage to eachother until a player hits them). Additionally, A.S Atlanteans and G.N Atlanteans would still be fighting eachother and would actually deal damage to eachother. The Atlanteans would have priority on attacking the other faction on this island and would only attack players if the other factions Atlanteans are not nearby or if a player hits them while they fight

Just one rare structure.

A small Island with a single destroyed brig ashore, on the middle is a lone skeleton of a captain. Nearby the island there will be at least 8 destroyed atlantean brigs surrounding the island. only 4 of them contains a dark sealed chest.

The Graveyard of the Vastus.

I’d also add an ancient temple of some sorts. They only generate starting from insanity 2 layers. The layout is random, but the player must go underground and solve three randomly generated puzzles. After that, a guardian Atlantean will appear. For i2 layer, the level will be 180-240, and upon defeating him 8-12 Dark Sealed chests will spawn.

A ruined temple with ancient text in it giving lore, there’s such a lack of ancient text ingame…

the ruins of one of the civilizations where the sunken people lived, with some lore behind it and maybe a fight against a sunken champion

Single Siren Rock
One rather small rock and a siren. One dark sealed chest. Your boat is your ground. Quieter singing.

Floating Explosive Barrels
Woah, that’s a lot of 25-galleon profits! It’s just hanging out in the i0 range, too! Awesome.
Do NOT go into i1. You WILL get mortared and explode.

RICHES!!!
A pirate’s corpse is seen leaning against the walls of the old structure. As you approach the bags of gold around him, you hear a squelch and he stares you down, now a Lost Pirate. He uses his last traces of humanity to tell you, “That treasure… be mine…”
Despite technically being a Lost Sailor, he’s about as strong as a mutant atlantean, or your rival, or something. Once he’s dead, you can actually pick up the bags and you directly obtain, like, 200 galleons in total. Maybe there’s a Dark Sealed, too.

atlantean rowboat
A rowboat with ONE Lost Sailor on it. One treasure chest. Worthless. Garbage. Hilarious.

might apply for the suggestion role with one of these and something to do with WoM music

Shipwreck Graveyard

probably for higher layers, an uneven island mostly consisting of very rough obsidian spikes impaling 3-4 atlantean ships of various sizes, how they got there is unknown, but one thing’s for sure: there’s a lot of marooned atlanteans, and just as many riches.

difficult to navigate and fight on foot, and highly recommended for groups or just being extremely careful alone

Sea Monster Carcass

a medium sized island that mostly features a ginormous (and fortunately dead) shark, probably a really old white eyes carcass, either fully skeletal or partially decomposed. its corpse maybe growing some kind of funky ecosystem growth around it, treasures, potion reagents and maybe a couple atlanteans hanging around for some reason (they hungry)

not a specific structure, but an event idea:

Legendary Beast Atlantean - Sea-based boss fight
Based on the Kraken boss from AA you could fight in the first and second seas, this would be a remade version of it to instead be a more randomized boss fight spawn in the middle of the dark sea.

Idea on how this might work
Rarely in the far reaches, the rubble of a ship shattered into pieces could spawn with an atlantean in the middle of the rubble, standing on a whirlpool. This boss would be around 800 - 1000 level and would be the most mangled, monstrous looking of any of the atlanteans.

The surrounding “arena” would be composed of broken apart ships drifting on the waves, which you can jump between to dodge attacks. These broken pieces of wood could have bigger areas on them which people could land on so they don’t always fall into the whirlpool.

The legendary beast atlantean in the middle would follow more preset attack patterns rather than having fully random, customized attacks similar to players like the other ones, but instead would have three different types:

Magical Beast Type - The legendary atlantean in the middle of the shipwrecked whirlpool utilizes magic from the few remains of a mind it has, and rarely even be capable of utilizing lost magics. Legendary Beast Atlanteans with this type would utilize more ranged based attacks which force the player to move around the broken arena, having large endlag as its weak points.

Demented Fighter Type - The legendary atlantean in the middle of the whirlpool utilizes fighting styles, the very few remains of its fragmented, mangled brain it still remembers, which could also rarely utilize lost fighting styles. This version of the legendary atlantean would be more close ranged, frantically trying to rip the player into shreds with the only way to fight that it remembers, leaving weak points in its patterns through attack endlag and outraged barrages.

Tyrannical Combatant Type - The legendary atlantean utilizes weapons from what its barely recognizable mind remembers, being possibly able to wield lost weapons as well. This version of atlantean would be more mixed, having both far and close ranged attacks utilizing their weapons and possibly carrying around cannons to fire barrages at you with.

(Note): There probably wouldn’t be any vitality version of this, since I think that would be more fitting with ghosts instead, which could have some other version of it.

Rewards
When the legendary beast atlantean is defeated, the player would be rewarded incredibly handsomely with a piece of rubble spawning in the middle where the whirlpool used to be, having many dark sealed chests and gold chests within it. Alongside that, legendary beast atlanteans that utilize lost versions of stuff would have the chance of dropping the lost magic/fighting style/weapon that they were using as well.

actually now that I think about it, I honestly kinda want to draw an atlantean for art class, if people could send me sick asf atlantean designs they’ve seen please do

extremely tall tower with 5 minutes of stairs

can we get much higher?

and add a giant eye on top like the eye of sauron and if we get exposed to it we get t4 madness after 5 seconds of being seen by it, you’d have to sneak past and get to the top for like lets say 6-10 sealed chests and if you reach the top you can just disable the eye via something you destroy at the top
