Im not talking about today’s pirates, but like the Pirates of the Caribbean. So instead of using a small boat to board cargo ship like now-a-day pirates do, you would have a huge wooden ship. Of course your not going to have the luck Johnny Depp does and it is still possible for you to get caught and hung for piracy. However, lets just say you happen to have a crew and a ship, how would you use it to your full advantage? Would you rob merchant ships, take over forts to embargo certain cities, or simple hunt for treasure and other worldly items. (Since this is taking place in the Pirates of the Caribbean universe there are curses so keep that in mind).
If I have to become one, I’ll just become a powerful wizard pirate like the Cursebeard. You know, rich and feared, respected, powerful, and yea. And you know build a giant huge golden city with multiple curse users as the defense… And bring in chickens and cows for food.
unless this has nothing to do with wizards of course.
realistically, your sailors would get sick constantly,
you’d have to constantly raid vessels to survive,
if you tried to raid cities/forts you’d just get torn to pieces by cannons,
and “buried treasure” only really exists in fantasy like pirates of the caribbean,
and even then it wasn’t common
this is, unless, you’re talking about AA universe pirates, because totally.
I don’t wan’t syphilis so it’s a no for me.
No way, besides all the normal downsides of just being on a historical pirate ship with a large crew, it would be too much of a pain to avoid being captured by authorities. Even if it was in AA with plenty of wilderness islands close to each other that grow fruit, getting chased by heroes and AG is an easy way to die pretty fast. Would much rather be a merchant or something, a lot safer and comfortable.
yeah but if you were a merchant, the situation gets reversed,
the pirates would attack you
overall, technically, it’d be best to be the underling of a major power until you get stronger
(ex: cursebeard, AG, durza, etc)
I mean in my experience with AA bad reps get hunted more often, but again that was my experience. Just keep your distance from pirate ships you spot and you should be fine.
Actually being a pirate wasn’t that bad compared to being a normal sailor or a peasant durin’ that time. Only thing you really gotta be wary of was the HMS, but other than that you had social welfare and other things uncommon durin’ the era.
So yeah, I’ll be pirate
I’ll have to talk to the captain first to see what’s it all about.
Then probably talk to the quartermaster for extra clarification.
Then get stuck in an endless loop of talking to one then the other and never decide.
nah. rather be a wizard-
Yeah I think most would take the risk. Seems fun to me
now if it was like…with Captain Jack Sparrow…sign me up lmao
Yeah me to dog. That would be fun asf (if I don’t get caught).
ha we have captain jack sparrow we’ll never get caught lmao
Lol thats for sure
I don’t want to suffer from scurvy
so no
I’d rather be something like a wizard or something
Aw yeah let’s become a wizard, go out there in the world, get stabbed with knives and arrows by bandits, obtain strange diseases, what fun.
hey at least it’s better than getting scurvy, diarrhea and getting hunted by the magic council 24/7
Either way, ya gonna get stabbed and diseased.
