If you had to choose, would you live in a world with Attack Speed or Attack Size meta?

Yeah, you get less reaction time with Attack Speed, but with Attack Size, you just throw out any attack you want, and it’ll probably hit. With Attack Speed, there’s still a window to punish (although it can be iffy depending on your exact build) and you actually need to aim well. With Attack Speed, there’s skill in making use of punish windows and getting your attacks to land, while with Attack Size, only the latter really applies.

The only exception is if you’re running Guns or Bows exclusively, but if you’re doing that with Attack Size, people are going to give you funny looks.

I feel like you misunderstood what Meta was saying. He’s saying an attack size meta would be better because you could actually react to, counter, and punish attack size builds, unlike attack speed. With attack speed, there’s a much smaller chance you could possibly punish them compared to an attack size opponent

I fully understood what Meta was saying: Attack Size metas have longer punish windows and there is a counterplay, although I’d like an explanation on what said counterplay is if it isn’t Attack Size itself. An Attack Speed meta would have smaller punish windows, with the counterplay more than likely being having your own attack speed be enough to fill in that window. You might ask if that is what we have now with Attack Size, having to counter attacks the size of Venus with your own being the size of Mars, but there are other reasons that would make an Attack Speed meta at least a little more fun.

This also doesn’t mention the different skill floor between Attack Size and Speed. I’ve said it numerous times before, but Attack Size is useful as a crutch for bad aim (Source: I have bad aim) and could be handy for easing into PvP, while Attack Speed requires the player to be skilled enough to aim at their presumably-moving target consistently.

Another point would be that Attack Speed would probably be more fun to play around with. Think about it; would you rather win with something that you need skill to use effectively, rushing enemies with attacks that come fast but can be dodged with a little movement, or win with something that forces the enemy to steer very clear of wherever you place your attacks (which won’t even work for some abilities like Placed Explosion Spells)? This is something I’ve seen some people point out on the forums, but the Attack Size meta makes them feel as if the game is turn-based more than anything, with players simply exchanging damage numbers until one of them reaches zero.

attack size counterplay is called hitting them with your smaller, higher damage attacks while they’re in endlag

honestly neither of these metas are good because attack speed makes things nigh unreactable and attack size forces me to use blocks and parries in a game that really doesn’t even need such a feature to begin with

You have to pick your poison

only valid option is attack speed, look at size warrior and release pulsar
Size = Turn Brain off
Speed = Low brain use. not 0

speed is better, but it wouldve been better off if neither size nor speed existed in the first place
