Actually, the Alaleans are rich because they are furiously protected by the higher powers of the MC and have virtually exclusive access to inbuilt advantages over all other societies due both to their disproportionate concentration in the higher ranks of the MC and that vile blasphemous traitor Arsen, the rancid thing.
Their close relations to the Vistarians, the incarnations of evil sent upon this Earth as punishment for Prometheus’ most noble sacrifice does contribute to this great tragedy, of course.
