so i started out with roughly 3600 galleons.

then, while i was loading cargo from redwake onto my ship, my internet started acting wacky. i got down to 1500 before i lost internet, along with potentially 4200 galleons.

so, a little annoyed, i rejoined when my internet got back to normal.
i started loading the cargo again, but this time i only loaded about 1400 galleons worth of cargo, just in case my internet acted up again.

it didnt, so i loaded just a little more, leaving me at arounf 700 galleons.

i took off, and out of nowhere, a fortified pirate ketch spawned right in front of me.

i had a caravel, so i knew i probably wasnt going to outrun the thing. but i managed to escape long enough to reach the port at ravenna.

i started loading a couple boxes, and got up to 976 galleons. but, suddenly, when i went to pick up a crate, i ended up somehow picking up the entire boat, teleporting me a little further away from the port.

far enough that the pirate ketch could start coming toward me again.

i didnt notice tho, so i kept loading cargo (different boxes tho in case the other one decided to teleport again.

as i got another box, the pirate ketch started ramming into my boat, which didnt do anything to my caravel since the sails were off but it scared the ever living shit out of me.

the ketch started taking a ton of damage, and i kind of just watched, in my boat, until it eventually sunk.

the pirates didnt disappear tho, and i didnt know how to avoid them, so i grabbed a crate hoping it wouldnt alert them if i kept my distance

but, unfortunately, it did, and there were roughly 8 high level pirates chasing a level 48 conjurer.

i ran as fast as i could out my boat with the crate, and i tried to climb onto the port after id fallen into the water only to realize you cant climb while holding crates.

behind me, my boat was now spinning in circles on top of the sunken pirate ketch which had still not disappeared.

i found a ledge which lead to ground level, and swam as fast i could, and i managed to escape the many pirates behind me (kinda) only for a shark to kill me in one bite.

i dont even know how it killed me in one bite dont they only do like 200 damage???

anyway, i lost a total of like 6000 galleons, and i have now quit playing for the day.

oof. That’s even worse than my first day cargo running. Vetex did 2 surprise shutdown-updates in a row without notifying us ingame, just after I finished loading my cargo, and then in the middle of the night, I got rammed into and sunk by a pirate ship that wasn’t even aiming for me. I didn’t lose 6000 galleons though, but I lost everything I had

fr cargos suck ass for me, i think i gotta just do fishing instead. its pretty profitable if you get a few exotics…so

nono, its part of the experience.

Honestly I spent the past 2 days fishing for sunkens/master angler and I’m up about 10k galleons and a sunken sword. If you have the patience & mental fortitude, fishing can be a great way to earn cash

yeah i j want money tho idrc about sunkens n shit atm so i dont think itll affect me too bad mentally…ill prob j get bored.

ok so simply NEVER EVER cargo run again.
just go off of sealed chests and bounty/assassinations, and selling stuff you don’t use from time to time
you will have enough money for most things if you’re not a trader, you’ll probably go broke time to time if you’re trying to optimize a build though

also i guess fishing’s the best money making method but… i just think that’s a lie i could spend 25 minutes to get a shark and it’d only sell for like 300 galleons it’s NOT that good why did the testers praise it so much

edit: cargo runs as a villain don’t punish you for existing around pirate ketches as you don’t pay to get the cargo (selling price is halved to achieve the same net gain as heroes), but you’ll probably have everyone and everything on your ass

This is the most annoying glitch I have seen, that the testers apparently didn’t notice and vetex hasn’t fixed since release. If you are laggy and you pick something up from a boat. You will be stuck IN the boat. And you gotta reset so if your spawn isn’t there then good luck
