Bc there won’t be any interior until you knock. To reduce lag, if you destroy the house without knocking there won’t be anything inside it.
fair enough but then its pointless as youll literally never see decorations unless you go out of your way for no particular reason
the average player would possibly never see them, they dont serve any purpose and its yet another random generation system to work on and make assets for
it’s literally in the title, immersive feature. The new dynamic npcs will run into their houses when scared so it’d be nice to be able to follow them in and see them hiding.
Vetex has time and time again shown he loves his immersion so I see this being added before, say, an armor piercing rework or anything pvp-related.
Well i said in an earlier comment that it could work where fame players would get a tip from the house npc as a reward for their efforts
Everyone ping dudeman
I kinda question the necessity and impact this would have. Why benefit would it really be for the player to be able to do this? Who would actually use this more than twice?
Just feels like there’s more impactful features to be made, and that this wouldn’t serve a significant purpose in virtually anyone’s gameplay. Immersion features are nice, but even they fall under the preview of being more impactful the more the player interacts with them. And I feel like most players won’t interact with this system much. Barring perhaps low-reps looking for some cheap, low-quality loot.
Gonna be honest chief this suggestion is amazing but I don’t think a lot of players are gonna utilize it at all, there’s only so many times someone wants to enter another guys house for no reason. Time is better spent on other features
From my experiences, private storages have given me innumerable amounts of scrolls, enchantments, and arcanium loot, I wouldn’t call that low-quality.
Just saying.
But why, I mean, they just do that everytime someone knocks the door,or it happens when you finish an event like carrying a castaway to Palo Town and when you knock the door they tip you for that, or smth like that, otherwise seems like a farm method
This would be even cooler, if you could use the decorative items in clan building!
I’ve smashed through houses with a hammer like a mole rat and it never registered as odd to me that there’s literally nothing inside, I just kinda used it as a secretive location when I don’t wanna interact with a player in town
Aye
I’m gonna break into someones house and use golden tempest with my max attack destruction build
…-who?
Three problems:
- Each house would need some kind of interior made, and I guarantee Vetex isn’t making unique ones.
- Once it’s loaded in, all of a sudden, it all exists… which leads into 3.
- You thought nuking a town was bad for those seeking a lag free experience? Imagine getting your buddies together and using Cannon Ultimate Art on a bunch of lined up houses. Or even just one house would drastically increase the number of destructible items.
Now, there are some solutions…
To address point 1: Just make each home procedural, and this is mostly fixed. Only issue is that each house has to go through that algorithm instead of being pre-made. Less stuff needs to be made though since it’d be typed to the building type.
To address point 2: The interior is invisible to spells, and I’ll clarify in point 3’s addressal.
To address point 3: In reality, let’s just say that whenever the house is destroyed. The interior doesn’t take damage, and just despawns. It’ll be very weird looking for whoever’s inside though, but the smoke makes this viable.
If you can think of more solutions that could be better, by all means, go ahead. These are just my thoughts on the matter.
