Im pretty sure 785 degrees is enough
In what? Kelvin?
Apparently some things in uk also still use imperial
Because they live in arizona or some shit and are used to 274, 60 is NOT chilly
idk my gym teachers beg to differ, because apparently we can’t go outside if it’s anything below 25 degrees celsius
this is basically exactly how ive thought about imperial and metric ngl…
metric for scientific and research purposes is objectively better but beyond that i dont think it matters
idk how it’s shame worthy to say that metric is objectively better than imperial since it’s far more consistent
The only place where imperial is better than metric is when you’re trying to do baking
Well yeah, logically better for sure.
@Divanochi turn the tempurature thing into its own post i wanna rant more but not derail
waaaaaht happened!!
the imperial system ruined everything
Ok good
Either way time to rant some more; Ive always thought the idea of laughing at Fahrenheit because it measures the water boiling weird is stupid because thats not the intention of fahrenheit, you dont laugh at kelvin because water bouls at 273* do you? The intention of fahrenheit was to measure between the point at which a human can no longer survive without equipment, and the average human body tempurature. This was in order to create a scale built for humans, not your kitchen, and its certainly more human than celsius because its off by a couple of degrees at both ends.
i was moreso focused on the distance measurements, idrc about temperatures imperial or metric if im being honest
The metric system is better. Especially in terms of measuring length since a Minecraft block is 1 cubic meter, making it very easy to visualize measurements in meters
This might be my new favourite argument
Don’t British people use both?
I think its pretty bad at this, assuming the range is 0-100 like it logically should be.
(though this may not be the case, it might be 54 - 76 because imperial logic)
If its below well below freezing or near boiling, you need equipment or shelter to survive for any meaningful amount of time.
Yeah because the best approximation of the point at which a human would die at the time was very salty water freezing
how is this thread from the hygiene topic
